Alternative Soviet Leaders

Hello,

As mentioned in the this thread, I am working on background for my stellaris AAR. The general concept is that the Soviet Union wins the Cold War. I do have some questions though about potential soviet leaders.

First to start with, should Khrushchev outmaneuver the coup against him or avoid that happening all together, who would be his successor? In particular I am looking for someone that would be seen at least at first as continuing with the policies of Khrushchev. In particular I am looking for someone would be supportive of OGAS.

I have read in past threads about the possibilities of Alexei Kosygin or Nikolai Podgorny as potential successors. Though not sure which of them would be best for the job, or if there is someone else who might take over in the power struggle. Moreover, what sort of foreign and domestic policies might these men embark on should they lead the USSR?

Second after them, who would be a good successor to come around during the late 70s and early 80s? My thoughts lean towards Andrei Gromyko. Not sure how he would be as leader during this time period or if he would have a chance of taking power due to the various changes in that would have happened by then.

Third, Gromyko's successor for the 90s, here I do not know. Its not going to be Gorby that much I know. Other then that I am not quite sure whom could take over. So any ideas here? :)

Finally, Potential Soviet Leaders that could lead in the early 21st century? I have thought maybe Valentina Tereshkova could take power around the turn of the millennium, not quite sure how likely that would be. Though if there are any other interesting people to lead the Soviets during the turn of the Millennium, I would be interested in that as well.

After that I don't know who could be interesting people to lead the Soviets. Any interesting socialists/communists from the countries that made up the Soviet Union? Since at this point we are at a point were a lot of these people would have different lives, and soon approaching the time to create fictional people.

Nursultan Nazarbayev had already become the leader of Kazakhstan before it ceased to be an SSR and according to his Wiki entry was considered a potential Vice President to Gorbachev. Someone else might be able to tell you better than I could whether the CPSU would have considered somebody for party leader whose career had been primarily outside Russia.
