This may be slightly ASB'ish but...
...What would be the result of the VC-7 entering airline service as planned, British European Airways (a) not initially requesting a turboprop Viscount replacement and (b) not screwing around with the original DH.121 proposal (i.e B727 size) and the BAC1-11 being Series 500 size and capacity when it first entered service?
I know that BEA requesting a jet Viscout replacement from the start means that the DH121 doesn't automatically get picked but assume the same size and capacity for what did get picked.
Note: Trident and BAC1-11 fuselages wide enough for six abreast seating if that is an advantage......
