Alternate WWII Question: A Very Short World War Two?

So here’s the scenario: In 1939, The French occupy the German city of Saarbrucken like in OTL, entering Germany on September 7. But then, Warsaw holds out just long enough to breach the German lines by September 29 and never surrender (the POD). With the battle for just one town still at a stalemate by October 2, Hitler sends troops into another town, Strasbourg, hoping to divide the French forces. This too, fails, as Hitler waited too long; the French manage to hastily prepare themselves for such an invasion. The German troops have still not conquered the two cities by October 4. A British bombing raid occurs on southern Germany (focused on Freiburg) the next day. Fearing he may have bitten off more than he can chew, on October 9, Hitler either privately or publicly proclaims to the French and British a desire for a meeting with the two country’s leaders in order to restore peace. On October 10, representatives of Britain and France agree to meet with Hitler from the 12th to the 18th, knowing they have the upper hand. On October 20, 1939, after less than a month of fighting, the war ends with the Scapa Flow Agreement (as it is signed aboard the British battleship “Royal Oak” stationed there), ending hostilities between the three nations – for now…

My question is, what would be in the agreement, and what would happen next?

Depends as you seem to have missed out what happened to the soviet invasion of Poland launched on the 17th September. No way Poland can hold without another POD derailing that.

Shucks, I'm an idiot for overlooking that. I'm not sure how Russia would respond to the POD... Thanks for responding anyway, you two!

If the Soviet Japanese armistice after Khalkhin Gol was delayed by a few weeks, maybe there would be enough time for Poland and the Western Allies to break Germany’s resolve-or to further delay the Soviet invasion. But it is pretty big stretch to get Poland to last much longer even without a Soviet invasion if there isn’t any action in Western Europe.

Lets do this: Stalin dies of a cerebral hemaorage around 3 September & the USSR/Red Army is paralyzed by the power struggle at the top. The Poles are still resisting in Warsaw, their surviving field armies retreating to the SE as per the plan. The French launch phase II of the Saar offensive. What then...

You're gonna have to have Hitler overthrown by elements of the Wehrmacht and even the NSDAP that see the writing on the wall, he wasn't gonna go off into the good night.

I think what happens next would depend on who takes over after Hitler gets overthrown.

I agree. I think both Hitler and Stalin have to be dropped before an early solution can occur once War has started.
