Alternate wives for Felipe VI of Spain

1. Brooke Shields - she is his cousin, why not?

2. Caroline of Monaco

3. Jacel Kiram - She is an adamant spokeswoman for the claim to Sabah of the Philippines, joke, I think it is unlikely.

What do you think?

Brook Shields may be looked down upon by the royal family similar to Isabel Sartorius, daughter of Vicente Sartorius y Cabeza de Vaca, or Norwegian model Eva Sannum, who modelled underwear.

How about marrying into another royal family:
- Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, the youngest child of Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden
- Leila Pahlavi, the youngest daughter of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who had been Shah of Iran, up until the Iranian Revolution
- Zara Phillips, daughter of Anne, Princess Royal and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain

Umm,we're in the twenty-first century. For someone from a royal family, marrying royalty and the nobility because they are royalty and nobility is thing of the past.Modern Royal Families want to be seen as open to the public and down to earth, not as a close knit elitist group who wants to keep royal blood 'pure'.

All are pretty absurd suggestions.

Felipe would not have been allowed to marry a commoner while his grandfather was alive.

Felipe's great aunt the Infanta Maria Christina confirmed to royal writers privately that in the late 80s and early 90s there were determined efforts by Felipe's father and grandfather to introduce Felipe to a number of German/Central European princesses, with Tatiana of Liechtenstein being the preferred candidate as the daughter of a reigning monarch.

Catharina of Austria, granddaughter of Emperor Karl I was another favoured candidate.

At certain points in the early 90s, it was widely speculated that Infanta Elena might marry Duke Eberhard of Wurttemberg after they were frequently photographed at events.
