No World Wars...

one....its fricking sweet
two...how do i make something like this...beign trying in gimp myself for a while, to steampunk a wikia im working on
three....love the flag design..is that a vector dragon?...and if so...is there any good sites for free vectors out there?

Thanks.

It's not too difficult making various stuff/edits in GIMP, just takes time to getting used to all the various scripts/filters and so on. I also use various silhouettes for reference, or random effects and textures that were made just for such public use, so it makes it easier. So I'm not a very good source for help with GIMP...

The dragon's not a vector, unfortunately. It's just a silhouette I made, just a bit larger, IIRC, than the full-sized coat of arms ( which is around 530x600 ).

The best way to make a Wikipedia Infobox is just create an account on Wikipedia and create fake articles using their templates. Here's something from my current project; note that the picture is currently a placeholder.

How is La Follete elected President if Coolidge won more electoral votes?

It goes to Congress because Coolidge doesn't have enough votes. A tripartisan alliance of Socialists, liberal Democrats, and progressive Republicans votes La Follette into office.

The infobox on the Wikipedia article for the U.S. presidential election of 2016, after one of many acts of vandalism, showing an image of the Democratic candidate before he was uplifted.

Planet of the Apes-inspired, in a post-Ape Revolt world where uplifted apes and humans are equal before the law. After the Democratic Party nominated a Pan sapiens, many voters, still scarred by the brief Ape Revolt, went to the Green Party. The Republicans won in a landslide.

This was not even the first inter-species election. Caesar, the leader of the Ape Revolt, ran for mayor of San Francisco the previous year.

(Notes the next election date)

Did the Ape revolt result in 8-year Presidential terms? Also, Election Day 2016 is on November 8th. Unless it was moved to a Friday. Which would be kinda cool (Saturday would be better).

That Ape Revolt really did help change some things.

I made a mistake, there. Ooops.

Besides that, what do you think?

I was just joking around. That was my way of saying "Funny ASB infobox there, MKN." I do love the attention-to-detail with identifying "vandals" as the reason for a non-suited up Chimpanzee image.

And if this is supposed to be future history, we must've had a pretty exciting five years (No intelligent Apes -> Ape Revolt -> Peaceful resolution and co-existence -> Nominating an Ape as a major-party Presidential candidate). It looks like he got all the big states too.
