I just have my school Chromebook at this point. I did have a tablet, but it got broke.
Well, I’m not sure what so say as all the good programs require a higher end laptop than a Cromebook. If I were you, I’d get a Windows laptop as they’re relatively high quality and aren’t overpriced (at least I think so) compared to MacBooks (plus no BS keyboard).

Right.

And I could use a device like that, especially since I want to start improving my art and get back into making videos and stuff.

Didn't know I once made videos?
Do you have the money for a better device?
Not yet.

I'll TRY to get one by the end of the year.

And the Windows laptop is a GREAT idea, especially since I have a Xbox Series S!

Right.

Really, for YouTube?

I once did that, but I don’t particularly like revisiting that part of my life…..
Not yet.

Cool! I own a MacBook Pro, but I’m working on building a gaming PC that uses an Xbox controller.

Family Guy on [adult swim] (2005-present)
FamilyGuyInfobox.png

Context:

Despite good DVD sales and ratings on [adult swim], Fox doesn't give Family Guy a fourth season, so Seth MacFarlane quits and begins working at Williams Street, where their parent company, Turner Broadcasting buys Family Guy from Fox and season 4 premieres February 20, 2005 on [adult swim], preceding the premieres of Robot Chicken and American Dad.

So that was my first Wikipedia infobox edit, not bad for a first attempt, even if there was some errors.

If you're wondering where The Cleveland Show is, that show doesn't exist ITTL, and some of it's episodes are made as Family Guy episodes instead.

Roach Films Alyaska? Ivan Saharov? Are those all ATL entities?
Yeah. It was originally part of a larger alternate history project called A Pale Rainbow - in which the world is more socially and technologically progressive due to China modernizing in the 19th century and Radical Reconstruction actually happening in the United States.

One of the butterflies is that Alaska is never sold to America - and it becomes a Russian Taiwan. Just like IRL Taiwan, it’s a dictatorship led by Alexander Kolchak.

Right now the project is on hiatus.

This is part of a timeline I'm trying to make with a POD of CNES (french space agency) internally deciding to focus on unmanned orbital laboraties and uncrewed capsules over a spaceplane* (what would become Hermes); this has major repercusions on the european astronautical industry and ESA policy, since the trio Ariane 5-Colombus module-Hermes was what ate most of the ESA funding over the 1985-1993 period. Here, one of the repercutions is that the nearly-accepted Kepler mars orbiter goes through, which in turns strengthen the (in the early-to-mid 90s very influential within ESA's direction**) "Mars lobby". Butterflies ensue. All missions listed are based or derived from real proposals (and names).

*the internal competition between the two directions is detailled in Luc van den Abeelen's book "Spaceplane Hermes".
**see Arturo Russo's Mars Express paper or Yves Langevin's youtube seminary on ESA mission selections (later in french)

In the early 80s, French Space agency (CNES) budget was massively increasing (inflation adjusted budget tripled in the decade), at the time there was intense discussions over the next "flagship" project, the agency was split between a Crewed Spaceplane (favoured by the launcher-designing, Paris part of the agency), which would become the ill-fated Hermes program, and projects of unmanned space-platforms for earth observation and orbital manufacturing purpose that could be autonomously refurbished with capsules (favoured by the satellite-making Toulouse part of the agency). IRL this debate was decided by CNES president Curien in favour of the spaceplane, which would be a major part of the European Space Agency's (ESA) "2nd package deal" consisting of the Columbus module, Ariane 5 and Hermes starting in 1985, until its cancellation in 1992, Hermes cost the equivalent of $3 billion 2023 USD for virtually no applicable results.

ITTL, the "Autonomous Space Station" (first nicknamed SOLARIS IRL) and the Capsule (first named MINOS IRL) are selected instead, the capsule is an easier sell to the Germans than hermes, who see in it a more progressive way to obtain crewed spaceflight capabiltiies, it manages to survive 90s Space budget cuts due to the German reunification and Peace dividends. After the failure to attract enough interest in space-based manufacturing, the Autonomous Space station is merged with the British projects of a "polar platform" (IRL a part of the Columbus program that eventually became the Envisat satellite) to give "Helena" (one of its IRL proposed name too). This also allows for greater british integration within ESA's flagship programs.

Other effects are numerous: Without the requirement of carrying a heavy Spaceplane, Ariane 5 instead has a more conservative design based on an evolution of Ariane 4 with a large cryogenic second stage. This launcher has an easier transition from Ariane 4 than it did IRL, allowing for more continuity in development and funding. Another is that the 1985 "Kepler" mars orbiter proposal gets accepted thanks to the lack of Hermes spending, this success allows the powerful mars lobby that existed within ESA's direction (and CNES and its corresponding ministry) in the 90s to get their wishes of a mars lander mission, this alongside a succesful Fobos-1 (which allows for more soviet-era mars missions development, enabling a better Mars 94/96, cooperation with americans...) snowballs into a vastly more ambitious mars exploration in the 90s and 2000s. All of the mars missions on that list are derived from real proposals or their direct extrapolation. This Mars focus does come at a cost of some programs (for exemple, the lack of Mars Express means there is no Venus express, with European budget focused on the Mars sample return, Laplace-JUICE doesn't happen either)

Another butterfly: Exoplanets are discovered by a french team using Hipparcos telescope data ITTL around 1992 (something which could very well have happened, the data was there), this allows the asteroseismologyz mission proposals of the 90s to get more funding. Columbus is less downscaled ITTL. The less powerful Ariane 5 means that Arianespace is more proactive in seeking deals with Khrunichev in the 90s to prevent competitors from commercialising the Proton and the opportunity doesn't slip, and so a joint Ariane-Proton business is achieved, meanwhile Lockheed manages to secure deals with TsSKB-Progress and commercialises the Soyuz, while Boeing still founds SeaLaunch. Ariane-Proton fails in the mid 2000s like ILS did IRL, there in part because of the refusal to launch Proton from Kourou, this is one of the motives for the earlier development of an Ariane 6 ITTL.

"Soviet Democracy was, for lack of a better word, a shit show. As the undead hordes overwhelmed the bunker housing the old Politburo, level heads prevailed and with it some glimpses of a truly free future. Though, before anything could get done, the zombie menace had to be dealt with and the New Bolshevik Party (Необольшевистская партия) and its new leader Patya Mikhailov saw to do what the Old Guard couldn't. He wanted to win the war." - Soviet Democracy: History of the USSR during the Zombie War

Posting my first wikibox.

There is context to the story, but for now I'm just training and learning how to make it better.

Ideas on how to make it better is very much welcome!

Cool. What TL is this for?
I was a VHS/DVD opening kid, and also made crappy YouTube poops.
Oh....okay.

Are any of these videos still up?
Play games such as CS:GO, Fortnite, Half Life, and Hearts of Iron IV.
Cool!

But why not get a console for some of those?
