Jong Li was a medieval Chinese monk, revolutionary, poet, artist, philosopher, ascetic, and folk hero. At the time, he was widely known as the Dragon Lord, owing to the order he belonged to. Nowadays he is considered to be one of the earliest Green Lanterns on Earth, wielding the original ring and lantern that crashed onto Earth several thousand years ago, and would eventually come into the hands of Alan Scott (sometimes known as Sentinel to differentiate himself from other Green Lanterns).

While little recorded evidence remains, it is known that he was born c. 635, he spent much of his early life as a student and monk in the Temple of the Dragon Lords. In 660, after sheltering an escaped concubine, Imperial forces massacred most of the temple, leaving only Jong Li alive and capturing the concubine. Jong Li awoke the power of the Green Lantern ring that had come into the hands of the order, and used its power to wage war against the corrupt and decadent court of Emperor Gaoming. Eventually Jong Li defeated them, and, after the assassination of Gaoming by his own forces, appointed a new child Emperor in his place, the son of the aforementioned concubine.

Much of Jong Li's later life is undocumented. It is known he was a favorite of the new court, at times engaging in war against bandits and assisting peasants in natural disasters, but spent much of his time reconstructing his order, writing, painting, and attempting to return to the life of an ascetic. It is believed he died c. 719, but folk tradition states his body and soul never truly died, instead having ascended to the heavens.

I doubt anyone has actually read Green Lantern: Dragon Lord (I did, it was OK if underwhelming), but that's where I got the idea for a medieval Green Lantern. This actually works really well with some wider world building/connecting I want to do here (since in my head/the original Golden Age stories, Alan Scott's Green Lantern ring did eventually end up in China before getting to him, and it makes sense there were some men worthy before him to wield it, even if we don't know all of them). My biggest complaint about Green Lantern: Dragon Lord was the lack of personal or dynasty names given to the emperor or his successor (I'm going with the idea that Li Chengqian is the evil emperor in the story, but I am not a historian that knows a lot about medieval Chinese history, so please take this with a massive grain of salt).

It's also fun to fake-reconstruct history, since in-universe people aren't certain who, if anyone, wielded the Green Lantern ring before Jong Li, and between Jong Li and Alan Scott.

you know if you want some ideas for your realtime dc, there is another realtime dc that might give you some more ideas, here is a link, the project is surprisingly interesting and well thought out:https://forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/speculation-dc-realtime-1938.702102/

Thank you. I haven't heard about that before. I was certain my attempt wasn't the first nor the only one, but I didn't go out looking. I kind of want to develop this on my own, as a pet project without aping other people's work, but I'm not against the idea of seeing what other people write.

@aaa what's the ideology of Solidarity & Justice?

Solidarity & Justice (S&J) is a social democratic party operating mostly in Southern Columbia, with a special emphasis on racial justice and equality issues. Its most prominent legislative successes have been bills dealing with racial discrimination in hiring processes and in housing.

It was founded in the early 20th century as the Racial Justice Party by a group of black and white college students and professors at universities in the Southern regions of Columbia. At that time, it was known as the Anti-Klan Party, as that was its main objective—to dismantle the power structure of the Ku Klux Klan in southern provincial and municipal governments. It was later renamed Solidarity & Justice, and developed a social democratic ideology, much in line with its ally the Progressive-Farmer-Labour party, which it retains today. The party has a practice of always having two co-leaders, one white person and one black person. The current leaders are Sir Tom Turnipseed MP and Jennifer McClellan MP.

George Harrison decides to enter politics in the 1970s and becomes the MP for Wavertree in 1974. The focus keeps his marriage to Pattie Boyd together. They have a son, John, named after Lennon and born a few months after his murder in memory of him, and all the while doing this he continues his music semi-full time. He is soon after made a Minister for the Home Office in 1975, in another showing of the populist streak from Harold Wilson, and he stays in this job until the fall of the Labour government in 1979. He is offered to stay in the shadow cabinet but refuses and decides to focus more on his music. He is given offers again in 1983 and 1992 by the new leaders of the time. He still joins the Travelling Wilburys amongst other things during this period. In 1994 he is tipped the favourite for Labour leader after the death of John Smith but doesn't stand and endorses Beckett, who ended up winning the contest, in what is highly thought of as being caused by his backing of her. Once again he is given an offer to be in the shadow cabinet and again refuses, though considers it a bit more than the previous two times. In 1996 he, Paul and Ringo collaborate on a full new Beatles Album based on recordings left by John Lennon other unfinished Beatles Recordings, and some songs featuring just the surviving three, called called 'Times Past'. Labour are swept into power in a landslide in 1997, and Beckett offers him the post of Culture Secretary. This time, he comes very close to accepting but decides against it. This time, it was mainly due to a diagnosis of cancer earlier that year, and he wanted to focus his attention on his fight. Newspapers reported in November 2001 that he was "close to death" but through strength of will, Harrison eventually came out of that fight alive. He soon returned to the Commons. He releases 'Brainwashed' in late 2002 after a period of recovery, a release that was almost a posthumous one. A couple years later, Harrison forms a new band, MP4, with fellow MPs Greg Knight, Ian Cawsey and Pete Wishart, as the leader of the group. They were later joined by Kevin Brennan and became MP5. In 2007 he collaborates for another new Beatles album with Paul and Ringo, again partially using archive recordings, this time called 'Doolally'. In 2011 Labour are swept out of power and the new leader, Robin Cook, made him yet another offer for the Shadow Cabinet, this time one of the top jobs; Shadow Chancellor. Harrison declines, saying he is perhaps too old for the job; he has not received any offers for the shadow cabinet since. He has released several albums over the years, perhaps less since his cancer battle, but had major releases in 2007, 2013 and 2016, and is working on a new album slated for release later this year; all of these albums including Jeff Lynne, amongst other people. In 2019, after the latest general election, he became the longest serving member of the House of Commons, and was therefore bestowed the honour of Father of the House of Commons, the first major role he had filled since being a minister for the Wilson and Callaghan governments. In this role, he presided over the election of a new speaker on the resumption of parliament; this Speaker ended up being Alan Johnson. He is still active in the House of Commons and has no current plans to retire. His presence in the House of Commons is quite legendary, but of course he is still most remembered for his time in the Beatles, and also for his solo albums.

32 British collaborationist officials were trialled for their involvement with the Third Reich's occupation of Britain. None are as famous as Unity Mitford.

A British socialité, her story precedes the landings of Germany's fearsome armies in Dover. Her sister, Diana, was engaged in a relationship with none other than Oswald Mosley, at the time merely a rabble-rousing fascist with scarce political prospects. It was through Mosley that Unity Mitford first became associated with far-right politics. She would commonly assist Mosley's rallies, becoming an increasingly more adamant admirer of fascism.

Mitford would partake in the Mosley delegation to the 1933 Nuremberg Rally in Germany. It was here that she first established a connection with Adolf Hitler, and solidified her complete attachment to Nazism and the fascist movement as a whole. The two would immediately develop a close friendship, stemming from their mutual interest in Germanic culture and their shared political views. Throughout the 1930's, Mitford would plant herself as one of the most notorious members of Hitler's intimate circle of close friends.

When war broke out, Unity Mitford was the only member of her family to remain in Germany. The idea that her two beloved homelands, Britain and Germany, would be pitted in struggle plunged her into a deep depression. According to testimonies that surfaced during her trial, she "seriously considered suicide", going insofar as to "becoming accustomed to the grip of a pistol".

Her ardent support for Hitler's regime "reinvigorated" her, particularly following the success of Germany's campaigns in Poland and France. When Paris capitulated in June 1940, Mitford travelled to the French capital and became acquainted with the city's social elite. Her exceptional charisma and outgoing personality made her instantly popular. "France adored her," it would later be said. "Hitler noticed that Unity Mitford, his seemingly innocuous British friend, could be of use after all".

Despite Churchill's roaring defiance, Britain was not devoid of sympathizers towards the Nazi regime. "There were more than a few individuals of considerable notoriety who wouldn't, and indeed didn't, mind German boots in London". Mitford's connections to England were a valuable asset for Hitler, as they allowed him to mobilize this pool of dormant support and to soften the higher echelons of British society to the prospects of a German occupation.

When Operation Sea Lion took place, and Churchill's government departed for Canada in December, Great Britain fell to German occupation. It was during the long months of Nazi overlordship that Mitford reached "the height of her life". Her most precious fantasies became a reality: Britain and Germany, united under the banner of National Socialism. Mitford would play a crucial role as the collaborationist regime took shape: she rallied support for the leadership of a newly relevant Oswald Mosley, coordinated with monarchists and the second ascension of Edward VIII, and overall built rapport with the influential members of Britain's aristocracy. "She was the fundamental connection between British society and Adolf Hitler". Her prominence in Occupied Britain made her one of the most recognizable Britons under Nazi rule. She was something of a celebrity, the epitome of high life under National Socialism.

Controversy remains as to the extent of her involvement in the crimes of Occupied Britain. There was no question that she was an antisemite, an important element to her identification with Nazism. The principal argument fielded by the prosecution during her sensational trial was that Mitford actively assisted in the finding and imprisonment of British Jews, using her connections to reveal the location of hidden Jews. Accounts exist of her seducing "bank owners, politicians, owners of business, army men, and other such people" into betraying people who hid Jews. The defense countered that these arguments were based on highly anecdotal evidence with little judicial value.

It was also argued that before and during the war, Mitford revealed sensitive information to the Nazis via her acquaintances. Reports from the SS were produced showing that Mitford provided detailed descriptions of the defenses in Britain weeks before Sea Lion. Additionally, she was "most likely" involved in the assassination of Edward Wood, the 3rd Viscount Halifax, in 1942.

Despite the general lack of concrete evidence, once the Nazis were defeated in 1947 and Soviet troops liberated Britain, Unity Mitford was considered "a high-priority target" for the Military Tribunal of Great Britain. She was arrested in April 1949 in Denmark, attempting to reach neutral Sweden, and deported back to the United Kingdom. Proceedings against her began in September 1951, and they would not conclude until her conviction the following January. Out of the 29 people convicted by the MTGB, only ten were sentenced to death, Mitford among them. On the 25th of February, she was executed by firing squad in London.

The amount of media interest surrounding the trial, coupled with personal interests within the jurors, have been listed as causes for a potentially unreasonable conviction, not to mention a death sentence. Evidence against her was "debatable at best, blatantly fabricated at worst". Her legacy would be further immortalized by the 1965 American film Blonde Girl, which dramatizes her life in the Third Reich.

How do you label files so they'll be displayed? I haven't been able to get any images to load.
On Wikipedia you can only use existing wikipedia images in your infobox. If you want to replace it with your own image, I recommend uploading it to a third website and then editing the HTML.

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. What are you trying to do?
I'm trying to replace, say, the flag of Malta with another flag

I've gotten to that part, but I don't know which part of the html to edit.

I myself have never managed to do this, but the trick I've learned is to take the finished infobox with a template image and paste it on paint, then resize the image I want so it'll fit in width (using either paint itself or gimp) and paste it over the template and finish by doing any minor changes in the box itself (like placing it a bit higher so it'll cover the excess of the past template, or lower so it'll show the parts covered by the new image)
