Age of Civs material. Brief descriptions of each:

Feral Hinduism is a Hindu-colored equivalent of the Amish and the Thai Forest Tradition that originated among the marginal classes of the Indo-Caribbean community as well as among Western yogis. Many adopted jungle survival skills from the nearby Maroon communities, and some African influence exists.

Austronesian Revivalism originates from the pockets of Javanese and Filipinos found in the West Indies (Suriname and the more affluent Anglo islands respectively) as well as from surfers in Costa Rica and Panama as well as historical ties between Puerto Rico and Hawaii. It's generally tolerant of religious diversity but strongly embraces geographic expansion.

Feudal Socialism is just what it sounds like. Instead of a hereditary lord, it's a feudal structure in which the serfs can impeach their lord or elect a new one if he fails to provide sufficient services relative to the taxes that he levies. Feudal socialism is most common in rural and frontier areas where the state is weak.

Caribbean Fascism is an ironic twist on the insult "fascism" that redefines it as an ideology based around a shared, utopian ideal that - while not achievable in the near term - is the target of common struggle. Caribbean fascism is based on the common values of the Caribbean rim - environmental protection, social and religious conservatism, and openness towards immigrants and tourists - and was informed by the rise of China as well as Raul Castro's reforms and the policies of his successor.

Two more ideologies, a cultural movement, and a band.

Mendelianism is a far-left ideology that seems to destroy nationalism by selectively breeding humans to be more idealistic. Although AoC is low tech because the laws of physics are different (guns for instance are no better than any other metal stick, and driving a car for over two hours drains the life force, in Mandarin qi, of its users), our knowledge remains and the massive amounts of land in which to hide (world population 1000 years in is about 600 million) there is a lot of room for wild experiments.

Suomenusko is based on a composite of two real individuals with allegedly fascistic leanings, the late Estonian-born, Hispano-Caribbean business oligarch Harry Männil (he split his time between Eesti, Venezuela, and Costa Rica and several times was accused of being an Axis collaborator) and the living Finnish environmentalist Pentti Linkola. In the early days it bordered on omnicidal mania, but it's now turned nicely into a garden-variety local mafia that uses greenwashing and sabotage to demand protection money.

Tarmellians are an offshoot of the Tamil people who adopted pan-Australoid nationalism, longing after their ancestors' ways as well as those of other Australoid peoples with no presence in the Caribbean. They also adopted more and more Graeco-Roman influences as well, combining domed Aboriginal huts, Dravidian kovil temples, and Roman dressed stone to create what they call the "Dome Coville". They also adopted an impressive postal system based off of the Aboriginal message sticks using a shorthand writing system. Tarmellian towns are often named after illustrious Australoid people, including tennis star Evonne Goolagong and Guyanese prime minister Moses Nagamootoo, the first Tamil ever to become prime minister of a nation.

RCV, short for Rachel Carson Village, is a popular band in several Crispus Attucks communities. They formed from residents of two adjoining villages, one named after a police shooting victim and one named after an environmentalist, and sing lo-fi interpretations of 20th-century pop.

Turquoise Blue: Scottish Parliament election, 1900

Obviously this is in Scots. Any Scots speakers are free to rip me apart.

This is set in the world of Ill Bethisad, as part of something I'm working on for Scottish politics.

The aesthetic here is supposed to be a sort of modern-ish "Old Internet" thing, given the Internet developed more later than it did in OTL, and IB as a whole likes preserving old stuff.

Aindriu Law is Andrew Bonar Law. He's bilingual, with a Scots-speaking father and a Breathanach [Gaelic-inspired Romance]-speaking mother. Hence the odd name.

Gentleman Biaggi: Greenland gubentorial election, 2016
In the course of American History, the United States of America has had the chance to grow itself and its influence more over the North American continent. The United States has attempted to gain the lands of Cuba, Greenland, the Philippines, and even the Congo. Debates over American imperialism have lasted decades, and some could even call it a colonial power today.
So, I have decided to make a new series, X-In the United States (great timing I know) based around a much bigger United States.
Hopefully @lord caedus doesn't murder me in my sleep for this.

Greenland has a complex political history in the United States. It was purchased by the United States following WWII for $100,000,000. Former "Freak Power" representative and environmentalist Hunter S. Thompson stated that “While Greenland’s purchase seemed expensive, the land raping of the Territory quickly made up for it”. The actions of energy companies in Greenland were slowed under President Ed Muskie, who passed the Arctic Environmental Protection Act of 1971. However, despite these protections, a majority of Greenlanders still want to continue offshore drilling. Because of this, Greenland is jokingly called "Economically and Socially Left-Wing, but Environmentally Right-Wing". Greenland has stayed a territory since its purchase, and is one of the few populated territories of the United States after Puerto Rico and Washington D.C's entrance as states into the Union in 1976. Greenland has stayed a territory as it has a very small population of about 71,000, causing it to have more than a 500,000 people difference than the least populated state of Wyoming. Not only that, but the territory has a diverse culture, as most people in the territory speak Greenlandic or Danish, and English has only begun to increase in young populations.

Politically, Greenland is quite left-wing. Politically, they are dominated by the Greenlandic Progressive Alliance. The alliance is made up of several former left-wing parties in Greenland, such as the Freak Power, Forward and Freedom Parties. Not only that, but the state votes quite Democratic when it can, especially in polls for presidential elections, as in election polls, the Democratic Party has never lost an election poll in Greenland. However, several statistics say that younger generations have begun to get more right-wing, and could push the state to the Republican Party, or its statewide version, the Polar Right Alliance. However, there is also the Greenlandic National Party, which was once powerful in the early days of Greenland's entrance into the United States. Nowadays, the party has fallen, and can only get 3-7% of the vote in gubernatorial elections.

In 2016, most of these norms had taken over the territory of Greenland. Almost every poll predicted that GPA governor since 1988 Tuusi Motzfeldt would destroy his opposition, and some said that there simply would be no opposition. However, PRA moderate Knud Kristiansen announced a campaign. Surprisingly, Kristiansen did quite well with younger voters, as growing conservatism in that area, and a need for change to replace Motzfeldt was quite popular among young voters. However, it still wasn't enough, as Motzfelt completely destroyed his opposition, while the GNP collapsed and only received 3.2% of the vote, and even a write-in campaign for GPA Motzfeldt opponent Sara Olsvig beat them with 3.6% of the vote. In the end, Motzfeldt would continue his governorship, but announced that he would be retiring at the end of it.

Loving the aesthetic and the extremely 19th century constituency names. I couldn't sleep for a week after I found out about Wick Burghs.

Did you notice the yogh? I was just going to put "Burgh" in, then I said "Wait, why would they get rid of yogh? After all, English there didn't get rid of thorn." and put it in. :D

Can’t wait to see what you have planned next! Greenland’s a nice start. Love the candidates you’ve set forth. It’s the perfect anti-thesis to X-in-Canada, keep up the good work!

Having a Geocities-looking infobox in a language that vaguely resembles an Old English/Dutch/Gaelic mashup is like peak Bethisad aesthetic.

Also, if you have any input in the IB project, could you see if there's any resources on Brehonecq than what's listed on the wiki? I was looking and I couldn't find any.

Oh no, I already asked @lord caedus, I wouldn’t do such a thing without his or anyone’s permission

I knew I was right not to murder you.

Very cool. I'm working on a mega-US map, and I intend to work out elections in that alternate nation at some point. So far, I've more or less decided that Kim Jong-Il will be Governor (For Life) of the State of Korea.
