Who is that,anyway?
Very interesting and very believable. The politics and everything fits right in with the other states. I have to ask though, why is electoral reform on the agenda? IOTL, only a small number of people really desire electoral reform, and they usually favour Hare-Clark STV like Tasmania and the ACT, which New Munster already has ITTL. What kind of reforms did Labor promise?
Died of cardiac arrest in October of 1990, with Stennis assuming the presidency after his death. What happened to Elvis?
Another little tidbit from RL Flashpoint...
President Ellen McCormack?????![]()
If you have questions, feel free to ask.
Oh, and since this will come up, while LBJ does die in his second term, it's not OTL, but delayed until two years into his presidency. Maybe an eight year break would be better for his health.
Presidential candidate Adolf Eichmann?![]()

So, uh, I get that this probably isn't supposed to necessarily be taken as a realistic election, but you have seriously underestimated how conservative/Republican the Eastern Shore of Maryland is. It would never be this blue, not in a million years, unless some serious demographic changes have taken place or the Democratic Party has become the conservative party.
Sanford proves to be a relatively disappointing president to the liberal wing of the Democratic Party,so they opt to throw Sanford out in favor of someone new. Enter housewife Ellen McCormack who, while initially written off as a future perennial candidate hoping to get a book deal out of the whole experience, was able to galvanize the female vote and whip together a coalition of middle class, poor and mostly northern supporters through the primaries against more conservative opposition in the form of Sanford and John Connally. McCormack narrowly carries the a plurality on the first ballot at the DNC, resulting in eight more ballots until she obtains the needed majority for a nomination.President Ellen McCormack?????
McCormack's more controversial decisions, besides authorizing the CIA to overthrow the government of India, devolving the nation into a bloody civil war, was the full pardon of Adolf Eichmann in 1977, assigning him secret service protection. Eichmann opts to try his hand at local governance, becoming the governor of Louisiana on the antiquated "Proud American" ticket in 1979. His governance is marked by democratic backsliding and more concentration of political power into the governor. He comes to blows over the McCormack's push for civil rights and runs for president in 1980. He merely hopes to send a thank you message to McCormack by assisting Fritz Hollings in taking back the increasingly reddened deep south, which he was able to accomplish. However, he has been derided in recent years as a spoliler candidate, arguing that Illinois and Michigan would have flipped to Hollings without Eichmann's presence on the ballot.Presidential candidate Adolf Eichmann?
I don't see a listing for their wholly-owned subsidiary, the Royal Commission on Monopolies, but I assume it's in there somewhere.
I'm going to be honest.
Thomas Dewey as Two-Face is one of the most awesome and unique ideas that I've ever seen.
Yes! this is amazing, I cant wait to see what comes next, and I like that jay adopted Bart and wally.![]()
A founding member of the Justice Society of America, one of the original "Speedster"-type of hero, and one of the longest serving heroes in American history, Jason Peter “Jay” Garrick is the first in a line of Superheroes known as “The Flash”. Due to his unique speed-based powers, known as the “Speedforce,” his body is delayed in terms of aging, with Garrick claiming to feel “half his age” in 1999 (when he was 81).
Debuting in 1940, after a freak lab accident left him with ultra-fast reflexes, Garrick was one of the original heroes that formed the Justice Society of America, and later the All-Star Squadron (often acting as the messenger between the JSA and the government). In 1951, admitted anti-communist hysteria, and threats of government persecution against all superpowered “masked men” who would not register with the government, Garrick temporarily retired (the first of five retirements).
In 2019, after the death of his wife, Garrick announced he would be permanently retiring from both superhero duties, and as an instructor for the Justice Society. His seven decades of non-consecutive service is considered to be among the longest in US history.

RL Flashpoint, pt. 5
Born in England in the family of former Wayne family butler Jarvis Beagle, Alfred idolized the work of famed doctors of yore since an early age. Having signed up for the Royal Army in mid-1901, Alfred would contribute to the British war effort in the Second Boer War by serving as a medic, learning many intricacies of the human body and its treatment, both humane and otherwise.
During his stay there, his brothers in arms taught him the essentials of theater. Ever since, Beagle would be enamored with it. In spite of his relatively meager talents at the time, his bravery, determination and willingness to go behind the enemy lines on intelligence-collecting missions would soon endear him to the military head-honchos of the time. Upon his return from South Africa, Alfred would pursue theater further, even becoming a professional actor in London.
Nearing the end of the first decade of the twentieth century, Alfred would once again be invited by the British secret services to participate on data-collecting missions. Having been officially inducted into the SIS by the beginning of the 1910s, Beagle would assume numerous codenames to protect his identity. As such, he would become witness to the republican revolution in Portugal, the overthrow of the Qing dynasty and the unrest in Albania before the Great War.
However, after the initiation of hostilities between Germany and Britain, Beagle would be sent back to his homeland, where he would be assigned on many missions. Some believe that Beagle, under the name of Thaddeus Crane, had a brief affair with the infamous Mata Hari right before her execution by firing squad. Alfred, though, never directly denied nor confirmed the allegations. Thus, the Great War came to its end, but instead of victorious release, Beagle only felt sorrow, perhaps because of his late lover, perhaps because of his father being on his deathbed by the time Alfred had returned home. Jarvis, suffering from a fatal bout of the Spanish sickness, made Alfred promise that he, as his son and heir to his name would continue the tradition of becoming the Wayne family butler just like he had all those decades ago. Teary-eyed, Alfred upheld the promise.
Having changed his identity to Alfred Pennyworth for his own safety post-SIS, Alfred would be greeted warmly by Thomas and Martha Wayne, especially upon his excellent relationship with Bruce Wayne, Thomas and Martha's only son. As the trust between Thomas and Alfred was built, Pennyworth would be allowed to offer his own opinions regarding the Wayne Corporation's business decisions and Martha's valuable charity work.
After Bruce's death, though, things had changed. He unsuccessfully tried to restore Martha back to her old self, but much like his employer, he was ultimately unsuccessful. However, Alfred did manage to convince Thomas that lobotomizing Martha would be a cruel and unfitting punishment for a person he [Thomas] had loved so dearly, much to the latter's initial disagreement. During his first few months as the masked vigilante, Wayne refused to reveal his alter ego to Alfred, but like a true intelligence agent, Pennyworth had seen right through him. Ever since then, Alfred would act as a right-hand man and moral compass that would try with all his might to prevent the Bat-Man from falling off into the rotting bottomless pit that was New York City of the 1930s, to mixed success to say the least.
