Coronation and Wedding of Edward VIII and Viktoria of Prussia
During the funeral of his father, Edward had met many suitors, the one that he had enjoy meeting was Victoria Louise of Prussia, the only daughter and the last child of German Emperor Wilhelm II, his second cousin, through his great-aunt, Victoria, Princess Royal and Empress of Germany.
Through their meeting and correspondence, the two royals became smitten with each other. However, any discussions of marriage were prolonged for months due to political concerns, his grandmother, the dowager Queen Alexandra, greatly distrusted her nephew Wilhelm II, German Emperor.

For a period of one week in May 1911, Victoria Louise traveled to England aboard the Hohenzollern with her parents, where they visited their second cousin King Edward VIII for the unveiling of a statue of Queen Victoria in front of Buckingham Palace, during this time, it was agreed that the 18 year old Louise and the 16 year old Edward, should be wed at the coronation in a years time.

Before the wedding, Edward and Victoria, had discussed what her regal name should be, they both thought she should not be called Queen Victoria, in respect to their great-grandmother and grandmother, respectively, and so she chose that she should use her middle name becoming Queen Louise.

Among the gifts were two imprisoned British spies Captain Bertrand Stewart and Captain Bernard Frederick Trench, were pardoned and released by the Kaiser Wilhelm II, as a present to the whole United Kingdom.

Bridesmaids:
Princess Mary of York (sister of Edward VIII)
Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Fife and Princess Maud
Princess Patricia of Connaught
Lady Mary Cambridge and Lady Helena Cambridge
Princess Maud of Fife
Lady May Cambridge
Princess Helen of Greece and Denmark and Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark

As best man, Edward chose his cousin, Prince Maurice of Battenberg, son of Princess Beatrice of the United Kingdom and the youngest grandchild of Queen Victoria. Prince Maurice had grown up with the young prince.

The atomic bombing of Hong Sha Dao was one of the most significant indicators of global catastrophes erupting in the 2020’s. The incident occurred thanks in large part to the growing unpopularity of President David Jefferson Adams, who had used vote rigging and court-packing to erode democracy in America. The Adams administration’s authoritarian rule was increasingly unpopular. He clashed with many foreign leaders—ranging from the hatred as incompetent from the likes of John Vosler to the explicit condemnations as an autocrat articulated by Ukrainian President Vasil Petrovych Holoborodko. The Northmoor Corporation was contracted to use dirty bombs to disperse some protests. Protestors against his rule such as Samantha White, Peter Maldonado, Kat Strattford, William Van Driessen and Forrest Taft were linked to extremist groups such as the New Earth Army and the Left Eye to justify their imprisonment. The addition of Curtis Wilson to the Supreme Court allowed for the detention of these opponents as well as potential 2024 rivals. Additionally, Adams was wracked by scandal. Joe Goldberg, a staffer on his reelection campaign, was discovered to be a murderous stalker. Caldwell B. Cladwell, a major donor to Adams’ campaign, was accused by Cecil Palmer of denying many southwestern communities access to the region’s increasingly scarce water supply. For this reason, even though his opponents had been largely disqualified, Adams worried his support would remain too low to retain power.

For this reason, Adams turned to saber-rattling, likely recalling his brief spike in approval early in his administration during a brief war against a parallel world’s version of Equestria, during the Combine and Ceph invasions and when helping quarantine the Turkish city of Harran following a rabies-T-virus hybrid contaminating the city. The Greater Hun Chiu Republic was an unpopular nation in America and Adams had been blamed for creating the power vacuum in the Pacific that enabled their ascendency. The GHCR had carved out a sphere of influence in much of Asia as a result of Adams withdrawing US forces in the region to shore up his regime. The GHCR had reinstalled Julio Ardiente in the Philippines and backed the self-declared People’s Republic of China led by Hou Linpiang as it sought to reunify the divided country. His government managed to almost achieve total reunification and became overly confident, leading to the creation of artificial islands in the South China Sea—most notably Hong Sha Dao. While the region was dominated by GHCR allies, Sarkhan remained semi-independent and saw the creation of Hong Sha Dao as an infringement on their territory. Adams saw this as a chance to redeem himself in the eyes of the public and thus issued an ultimatum to Hou Linpiang’s China to either dismantle the artificial islands or the US would destroy them. Ultimately, with the words of support from the GHCR and the US being increasingly isolated from the world community, Chairman Hou rejected this threat.

Adams thus would strike, ordering Air Force Secretary Christopher Blair to launch three Trident missiles at Hong Sha Dao. The island was completely destroyed and almost everyone on it would perish. China would call for vengeance, but Hou was restrained by the GHCR, who believed the US remained too powerful to challenge. This strike caused Hou’s government to lose quite a bit of face and the elite Kwan Do family would soon overthrow Hou and install Nick Young as the president of the bulk of China. Meanwhile, much of the world condemned this strike, fearing the implications for the nuclear taboo. Sanctions were imposed by multiple countries, which had a major economic ripple effect that led to the rise of extremist parties such as Vivienne Rook’s Four Star Party in Britain (which arose from absorbing other populist parties such as People for Waldo, the String ‘Em Up Party and the Common Sense Party as the ruling Shepherd Party was brought down by the economic crash) and Agnes Dorgelle’s National Popular Rally in France (which had been ascending in influence in the wake of the growing unpopularity of Muslim French President Mohammed Ben-Abbes). The reaction in American proper was more divided. Socialist Senator Julian Felsenburgh was so outraged by the strike that he renounced his citizenship and moved to Europe, where he would ultimately become President of the European Union over a resurrected Adenoid Hynkel and Elisa Correr (and went on to have Pope Pius XIII murdered to begin a war against the Catholic Church). Less extreme figures nevertheless also condemned the attacks and they were cited by Congressman-elect Payton Hobart as reasons to boycott Adams’ second inauguration, which over three dozen Representatives and eleven Senators ultimately did alongside all living ex-presidents. Other Americans, such as Kansas Senator Brenda King, Missitucky Senator Alfred Woden and Delmarva Governor James Devlin, defended the attack, claiming it was necessary to limit the GHCR’s influence. Ultimately, most Americans did not agree with the attack and Adams remained controversial past the point of his death in the 2025 Inauguration Day bombings that destroyed multiple other cities. Some figures, such as cult leader Eddie Lane, held that the 23 cities’ destruction was a cosmic punishment for destroying Hong Sha Dao.

Route 66 is a 2006 American road-comedy film produced by Universal Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film stars Owen Wilson, Paul Newman (in his final acting role), Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, Tony Shalhoub, Cheech Marin, Michael Wallis and George Carlin. The film opens as the last race of the Preston Cup championship ends in a three-way tie between retiring racing veteran Steve "The King" Weathers, dirty-playing frequent runner-up Chuck Hicks, and brash rookie Warren "Lightning" McQueen. The tiebreaker race is scheduled for one week later in California. Lightning is desperate to win the race, since not only would it make him the first rookie to win the Preston Cup, but also allow him to leave the unglamorous sponsorship of Rust-Eze, a bumper ointment company, and allow him to take The King's place on the prestigious and lucrative Dinoco team. Eager to start practice in California as soon as possible, he pushes his big rig driver, Mack, to travel all night long. While Lightning is sleeping, Mack drifts off and is startled by a gang of four reckless street racers, causing Lightning's car (with Lightning sleeping inside) to fall out the back of the trailer and onto the road.

Lightning wakes in the middle of traffic and speeds off the highway in search of Mack, but instead ends up lost in the rundown desert town of Radiator Springs, where he inadvertently ruins the pavement of its main road in his panic. After being arrested and impounded overnight, Lightning is ordered by the town judge Doc Hudson to leave town immediately. However, the local lawyer Sally Carrera, requests that Lightning should instead be given community service to repave the road, to which Doc reluctantly agrees. Lightning tries to repave the road as quickly as possible, but does it so shoddily that he is forced to repave it again. During this, he befriends several of the town's residents and learns that Radiator Springs used to be a popular stop along the old U.S. Route 66 forty years ago, but it was bypassed with the construction of Interstate 40 and thus was mostly forgotten. Lightning also discovers that Doc is the "Fabulous Hudson Hornet", a three-time Preston Cup winner whose racing career ended with a crash in 1954 after which he was quickly forgotten by the sport. Lightning finishes repaving the road, which reinvigorates the town's residents, and spends an extra day in Radiator Springs with his new friends instead of immediately leaving for California.

However, Mack and the media descend on the town after having been tipped off to Lightning's whereabouts. Lightning reluctantly leaves to reach California in time for the race while Sally chastises Doc upon discovering that he was responsible for tipping off the media. At the tiebreaker, Lightning races distractedly as he misses Sally and his other new friends, and he soon falls into last place. He is then surprised to discover that Doc has taken over as his crew chief and several other townsfolk from Radiator Springs are helping in the pit. Inspired and recalling tricks he learned from Doc and his friends, Lightning quickly emerges to lead the race into the final laps. However, at the last minute, Chuck, refusing to lose to The King again, sideswipes The King and sends him into a dangerous crash. Recalling Doc's fate, Lightning stops just short of the finish line, allowing Chick to win, and drives back to push The King over the finish line. The crowd and media condemn Chuck's victory, but are impressed with Lightning's sportsmanship. Though offered the Dinoco sponsorship, Lightning declines and insists on staying with Rust-Eze out of loyalty for their past support, though he convinces them to give Mason, Radiator Spring's tow-truck driver, the helicopter ride he had promised him. Back at Radiator Springs, Lightning reunites with Sally and announces that he will be setting up his racing headquarters there, putting Radiator Springs back on the map.

Cars as a live action movie? Interesting.

I don't know my anime studios and producers and channels well (or at all) so I just spliced together the info from FMAB and Naruto for that part of this

Another post from my Führerreich TL, I've had these sitting around for a few days but never bothered to post them until now. Here's the presidential tickets from the 2016 American election. I plan on doing the primaries for both parties soon as well

Good evening.

This is the 17th time I have spoken to you from this office, where so many decisions have been made that shaped the history of this Nation. Each time I have done so to discuss with you some matter that I believe affected the national interest.

In all the decisions I have made in my public life, I have always tried to do what was best for the Nation. Throughout the long and difficult period of the Marilyn Monroe scandal, I have felt it was my duty to persevere, to make every possible effort to complete the term of office to which you elected me.

In the past few days, however, it has become evident to me that I no longer have a strong enough political base in the Congress to justify continuing that effort. As long as there was such a base, I felt strongly that it was necessary to see the constitutional process through to its conclusion, that to do otherwise would be unfaithful to the spirit of that deliberately difficult process and a dangerously destabilizing precedent for the future.

But with the disappearance of that base, I now believe that the constitutional purpose has been served, and there is no longer a need for the process to be prolonged.

I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as President, I must put the interest of America first. America needs a full-time President and a full-time Congress, particularly at this time with problems we face at home and abroad.

To continue to fight through the months ahead for my personal vindication would almost totally absorb the time and attention of both the President and the Congress in a period when our entire focus should be on the great issues of peace abroad and prosperity without inflation at home.

Therefore, I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon tomorrow. Vice President Johnson will be sworn in as President at that hour in this office.

And to my beloved Jackie: I'm sorry.

Backstory?
JFK is not assassinated because this is a TL where communism is already utterly discredited. In 1965, during his second term, it comes to light that he has been having an affair with Marilyn Monroe and using the office of the presidency to cover it up. He resigns in disgrace, handing the reins over to LBJ.

Here's something for my Führerreich TL that I prolly should've done a while ago: the initial divergence, complete with 5 candidates winning states and a really low turnout due to disillusioned voters after the Dems fractured. They fractured because Wilson dropped out of the race after a heart attack, they nominated Champ Clark, and WJB decided to run as a Populist in protest. I know the exact results are probably not the most realistic, but a few alien space bats here and there can't hurt too much
