If you're alright with a few questions:

I like questions, but I haven't fleshed out the scenario too much.

Are PR, Guam, and the others still territories? I'm confused by their separate listing despite having EVs.

Puerto Rico is a state, the rest however are still territories. The relationship between the federal government, inhabited territories, and DC has been redefined to be more equitable (partially as a reaction to the Fatherland Front), including granting full voting rights in the House, one senator, and the ability to vote in presidential elections. The main thing preventing them from becoming states is governmental inertia and the mentality (not legal requirement) that states should have at least Wyoming-levels of population (and in DC's case, the District Clause of the constitution, though most people don't realise that said federal district could be drawn to just include government buildings, enabling the rest of the District to be admitted as a state).

Has the election gone to the House before? Especially since Schostok won by 1 EV?

I'd say so. The Populists and CDA tend to cooperate on the presidential level and usually nominate joint candidates, though I can imagine a situation where the parties were too much at odds with eachother to nominate a joint candidate, deadlocking the EC, and the CDA backing the SPD based on closer economic policies.

Why do New Mexico, Puerto Rico, and South Carolina vote the way they do?

Out-of-universe answer: the party lean of each state was based on which word for soft drink (soda, coke, pop) was more common.
In-universe answer: NM often swings between the SDP and CDA, the latter party taking a more moderate course that appeals to much of New Mexico's population; the Populists have made few inroads towards courting Latino voters making the CDA the default conservative choice in PR; a gradual switch towards more class-based divisions in the South combined with vote splitting allowed the SDP a surprise win in SC.

Now, forever,
here, everywhere

at the end of all things,

AR
MA
GEDD
ON us, you, all, some of society.

We turned from him his wrath.
Yes, death. The whore

of Babylon, reduced.

Mr.Abaddon,
We were wrong.

We missed you at the last poetry slam, man.

Where do the parties fall ideologically and how long have they been around?

The Populists are the oldest of the current three major parties, having been established in 1891. They're currently the largest right-wing party in the US, though also have a marked environmentalist streak.

The Social Democrats have their origins in the early 20th-century Socialist Party. As it says on the tin, their main ideology is social democracy, although the party includes everyone from progressives to more radical syndicalists (the former being much more prominent than the latter).

The Christian Democrats emerged during the political realignment of the 1950s and 1960s. Socially conservative, economically split between non-Marxist socialists and what we would call ordoliberals, the party has managed to be a lasting and influential third force.

The legalisation of electoral fusion on the national level in the late 19th century means that there are scores of smaller parties that have some degree of influence (moreso on the state and local levels), though few of them as-of-late have the resources to strike it on their own and mount a serious presidential campaign.

Rather not make a wikibox right now, its time consuming, but here is the electoral college map of a Confederate States presidential election, taking place in 2017.
Confederate States Presidential Election, 2017.png

(Ted Cruz/Carly Fiorina represent the Southern Whig Party and get 120 electoral votes, Jim Webb/Claire McCaskill represent the New Democracy Party and get 75 electoral votes, and Tim Kaine/Julian Castro represent the Liberal Democratic Party and get 48 electoral votes.)

The Southern Whig Party was made in 1866, following the collapse of the Unionist Party that same year, and a year after the Confederate States of America won its independence. Its main ideals at first was preventing the expansion of slavery into the western territories of Oklahoma, Arizona, and New Mexico, but allowing the states to decide whether they should maintain slavery. It is now seen as the main right-wing party of the CSA.

Created in 1992 by William J. Clinton, governor of Arkansas and a centrist leader in the Liberal Democratic party, The New Democracy Party in its own right is seen as the successor party to the States Rights Party that lasted from 1948 to 1968. It sponsors compassionate conservatism, a type of conservatism that uses traditional conservative values to promote the general welfare of the people, as well as increased free trade.

The Liberal Democratic Party is the one remaining successor party to the extinct Democratic Party (1865-1951) that once dominated Confederate politics. It was created due to a rift between the leaders of the Democratic party, mainly Estes Kefauver, a senator from Tennessee who led the liberal faction of the Democratic Party, and Strom Thurmond, a Senator from South Carolina who led the conservative faction of the Democratic party. Thurmond would break away from the party in 1948 to form the States Rights party. The collapse of the party would take place in 1952, when Estes Kefauver and Georgia senator Richard Russell Jr. would compete in a deadlocked convention. The convention would last for weeks, and the two factions could not co-exist as a party, and the Democratic party collapsed. Today the Liberal Democratic party is still the main left-wing party in the CSA, but since 1992, the Liberal Democratic Party has been losing steam, after the creation of the New Democracy Party, as it has been losing the support of moderate Liberal Democrats.
