We can argue for a long time about whether the Soviet Union was a fascist state, but let me see something: Comrade Luxemburg was a staunch supporter of working-class democracy and condemned the Bolshevik methods.

Arthur Hendrick Vandenburg was an American politician who served as the 34th President of the United States, following the death of President Wendell Willkie. Vandenburg is well known for overseeing the atomic bombings of Berlin and Kokura, as well as the Post-War Organization and Re-Alignment for the Axis (PWORA) and leading the beginning of the Cold War against the Soviet Union.

Vandenberg was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Alpha (Hendrick) and Aaron Vandenberg, of mostly Dutch heritage. Vandenberg attended public schools there and studied law at the University of Michigan (1900–1901), where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. After a brief stint working in New York at Collier's magazine, he returned home in 1906 to marry his childhood sweetheart, Elizabeth Watson. They had three children. She died in 1917, and in 1918 Vandenberg married Hazel Whitaker. They had no children.

From 1906 to 1928, he worked as a newspaper editor and publisher at the Grand Rapids Herald. It was owned by William Alden Smith, who served as a Republican in the U.S. Senate from 1907 to 1919. Vandenberg as publisher made the paper highly profitable; he was well paid. Vandenberg wrote most of the editorials, calling for more Progressivism in the spirit of his hero Theodore Roosevelt. However he supported President William Howard Taft over Roosevelt in 1912.

On March 31, 1928, Governor Fred W. Green appointed 44-year-old Vandenberg, a Republican, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Senator Woodbridge Nathan Ferris, a Democrat. Green made the appointment reluctantly under considerable political pressure. Vandenberg immediately declared his intention to stand for election to both the short, unexpired term and the full six-year term.In November 1928, Vandenberg was handily elected for a full term. In the Senate, he piloted into law the Reapportionment Act of 1929, which provided for the automatic redistricting of the House of Representatives after each national census. He was at first an ardent supporter of President Herbert Hoover but he became discouraged by Hoover's intransigence and failures in dealing with the Great Depression. After the election of Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932, Vandenberg went along with most of the early New Deal measures, except for the NIRA and AAA. With the exception of his amendment to the 1933 Glass–Steagall Banking Act, which created the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Vandenberg failed to secure enactment of any significant legislative proposals. By the 1934 election, his own political position was precarious; he was still reelected by 52,443 votes.

In 1940, President-elect Wendell Willkie appointed Vandenberg to serve as Secretary of State. As the Secretary of State, Vandenburg was a vital part of the war effort against the Axis powers, and he chaired the Advisory Committee on the Post-War Era.

When President Wendell Willkie died, Vandenburg was elevated to the Presidency. He oversaw Operation Neptune, and made the decision to drop atomic bombs on Berlin and Kokura. Vandenburg was easily elected to a term in his own right in 1945 against Alben Barkley, and went on to oversee the end of World War II in late 1945. In the post-war era, President Vandenburg worked to form the United Nations, a successor to the failed League of Nations. He also implemented the Grew Plan, which split Austria and Bavaria from Germany, and German territory east of the Oder river was ceded to Poland. Vandenburg led the United States into NATO, and led the beginning of the Cold War against the Soviet Union. Vandenburg declined to run for a second term in 1948, citing ill health, and Vice President Harold Stassen succeeded him. He died months after Stassen's inauguration in 1949.

No To, often referred to as the 'Notties', was an interesting experiment that came about after the Communist party's decision to support the China Communists' decision to cross the De-Hostilized Zone, something that sparked a serious internal debate within the party. Some deeply disagreed with it, showing opposition to human rights abuses in the ChiCom state. They became known as the Jieshi Clique due to their softer stance on the South 'Official/National' China State, and were primarily comprised of Asian members of the party. Many left for either Labour or other parties, but a few remained. The second group was the one that backed the party line, and these became known as the Bamboo Brigade. They ardently supported the ChiComs in their efforts, and virulently criticised the Southern China State for 'rampant economic self-masochism'. Of course, an ambivalent third grouping existed with support for neither state finding a place in the fractured party (some even found a distressing rapport with the BUF for mild support of the minor Xinjiang Caliphate). Pollitt (born Sean Henry de Chair. He changed his name in 2005 in honour of his lifelong hero, former Communist leader Harry Pollitt), a leading Communist journalist and frequent critic of the service state, announced the formation of a new party in mid-2012, just as the China Crisis began to spiral. Many in the Jieshi Clique followed him, and at first the party showed large promise. Initially, it was meant to be a general anti-establishment party (hence its catch-all name) with a heavy coating of Communist thought. It even won two by elections in the fall of 2012, which would be their peak result. However, after being hired to the board of the Guardian newspaper, Pollitt announced his retirement from the leadership. Quickly, a crisis ensued as he had not put any mechanism forth for such a scenario. A solution emerged through the formation of a combined Collective Executive, but this satisfied few. The party's two MPs, who were already defectors from Labour and the Communists respectively, switched back to their prior affiliations as different Collective members laid claim to the leadership (Grey was an ardent Scottish Liberationist, Percy and Devonald were ex-Jieshi, Perceval and Hatcher were former BUF members). Despite its rapid decline, the party still boasts an incredible amount of members. However, this is marred by the fact that many of them are university students who signed up without participating in internal machinations. They still do rather well in the devolved London Parliament, but still a fairly paltry performance for a party that once claimed to have a councilor in every section of the country. Pollitt left in 2015 and went on to do other things, such as contribute to the topical FBB show The News Round With Iris Fletcher. He is a good friend of the right wing pundit Jimmy Renton, phoning in to his radio show on numerous occasions and on one instance doing a cross county tour with him to raise money for charity. One example of No To's electoral lingerings can be found in Islington Council, which still has 3 councilors (two from the Communists, one from the BUF). This is an area where the Tories are largely unwelcome, so they choose to field their frequent coalition partners instead. Some have mooted the possibility of No To usurping the NatLibs at the next election and possibly running on a coupon with the Communists, but even their council leader denies this of having a serious chance of happening.

Definitely, the term "Fascist" is a purely pejorative one assigned to the Alliance by the CCU and AlCom is a fairly broad alliance; dear Rosa established the German Bund but died shortly after and without her influence it drifted towards Trotskygrad's influence. He is in no way a fascist and probably would belong on a Communist-leaning wing of the CCU but is seen as a part of AlCom history due to her nation's role in it.

Here's a one off idea, involving most of LBJ's later cabinet dying in some sort of attack. My guess is that it's Hoxhaists, sending flying bunkers to smash the Americans.

VCi44iu.png

And I do realize that LBJ put into law anti-nepotism laws that would make Mo Udall's appointment illegal, but I already made the Wikibox before remembering that, so I'm just going to say that nobody noticed in the panic over the death of most of the Cabinet until later. And blame the Hoxhaists.

Representative Jones

After a further scandal regarding Muslim and Middle Eastern refugees, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly resigned in a huff in June 2019. President Trump appointed Texas Representative Michael McCaul to replace Kelly. Texas Governor Greg Abbott scheduled a special election on August 6. The first candidate to enter the race was a DNC official and 2017 DNC Chairmanship candidate, Jehmu Greene. Greene was seen as a credible but long-shot candidate until out of a crowded Republican convention that involved a whole lot of votes bled from the credible candidates, emerged the GOP's nominee: host of Infowars Alex Jones.

Immediately, Greene was devoted millions of dollars in fundraising and most GOPers abandoned Jones. McCaul and the Koch brothers managed to enlist Libertarian Michael Badnarik to run for the race. Badnarik received huge amounts of GOP funds nearly immediately. Jones only had one key endorsement: the President. Trump said at one of Jones' rallies: "Alex Jones is a fighter for the real truth. He'll fight for the average joe in Austin and beyond. He'll bring the heat to the lying, crooked Democrats and those sad Republicans who oppose me. I can't wait for him to be in office!"

Polls and logic dictated that Greene would win. A Libertarian spoiler candidate plus the well-funded strong campaign of Greene made it seem likely that Jones would lose, no matter how many votes he and Trump pulled out of rural areas, not to mention that Austin's and Houston's suburbs were slowly becoming bluer.

Once again, Trumpism broke the polls. By 186 votes.

After a narrow win, Jones would serve in the 116th Congress as one of the most controversial Representatives seen in recency. He would serve as a strong mouthpiece for President Trump even as Trump reached his lowest approval rating. Shortly after the 2020 elections, the House censured and expelled Jones after being convicted of treason due to his key role in the Jones Affair that had preoccupied much of the 2020 campaign. Jones was succeeded in office by Jehmu Greene who had won a rematch in 2020 as part of a Democratic wave that year.

Vox Populi, Vox Fasces

Due to the lack of a functioning network of fascism in the United States, many have resorted to setting up state parties. The National Party of New York is one such party, having been set up during the 'Milleniase', the period in which fascism was on the wane in the aftermath of Alan Caruthers' spiral into self-destruction. The NPNY has gotten by based on locally popular candidates like State Representative Walter Murphy, whose Staten Island district has voted to re-elect him four times over due to his work in the local community. Their 'leader', Jeff Reuther, has had little luck himself, only winning election to the state senate based on votes from the strong Russian-American community in Brighton Beach, which in recent years has become a strong demographic for conservative and nationalist candidates. The party is hoping to capitalise on incumbent governor Micheal Street's unpopularity and perhaps launch themselves into a position in state government (lord knows Reuther is seeking a promotion).

The Jones Affair?
Must know more.

One day everyone woke up to find out that a lot of famous dead people were alive again. And immortal.

The Immortal Government. Progressives (blue) hold a majority in both houses of Congress. Associate Justices are Louis Brandeis, William Brennan, Salmon Chase, Charles Evan Hughes, John Jay, Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Earl Warren.

The Immortal Cabinet of Theodore Roosevelt.
Thomas Jefferson, who stayed in private life upon immortality, declined to join either of the emerging immortal-based parties. He also rejected many calls from both parties to run for president. Roosevelt's original Secretary of State, Colin Powell, retired a few years ago due to frustration with his foreign counterparts, especially Talleyrand and Da Vinci. Jefferson was on the shortlist to succeed him with Kissinger, Albright, and Cordell Hull, but ultimately Roosevelt selected Jefferson. Jefferson remains a committed nonpartisan in the mold of Washington, who also remained out of politics.
Alexander Hamilton has been Treasury Secretary since Roosevelt took office. The creation of the Third Bank of the United States combined with Roosevelt's progressive policies created a long period of economic boom. Hamilton is very concerned that the growth will end soon, throwing the nation into a death spiral. He and Colin Powell had a very poor relationship that continued between Hamilton and Jefferson.
John Muir, the great conservationist, was not Roosevelt's first choice for the Interior. After Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, and Lewis and Clark all declined him, Roosevelt tapped Muir. Muir faced a rocky confirmation process due to his non-American birth. However, he paved the way for later foreign born Cabinet officials, including Gompers and L'Enfant.
DeWitt Clinton is one of the most powerful men on the Cabinet. Roosevelt has given him free reign with American transportation, only mandating that he maintain excellent standards across the nation. Clinton shepherded the massive Pan American Railway despite fierce opposition from men like Robert Moses.
