Alternate Weapons of War thread...

honestly... bullshit. kids learn more about sex from the internet than anything else. schools fuck it up and friends are retarded. and then parents lie all the damn time. TEH INTERWEBZORZ FTW!!!
Yep. Luckily, my parents were open and honest about the subject when I went into puberty. They made sure I knew what the other kids were talking about and knew when they were bullshitting. :D

I mean, I "used" the internet for "information" on the subject anyway, but...:p

EDIT: this is indeed a manly thread. We seamlessly moved from a discussion on war and big guns to a discussion on sex and internet porn. :D

which could also be interpreted as such "War" and "Big Guns" ;)

oh if only Fell was here... im growing so much *sniffle*

anywho... i learned all i needed to know when i was a young'n...
favorite movies as children were the Disney princess movies... i must admit, for cartoons, most of them were hot. (i won't get to specific... :D:p;))

and then i ran into some of my dads old Hustler's when in his room one day. right under his side of the bed... there must have been about 200 of them from 1970 or something... he doesnt have them anymroe...

THEN CAME THE INTERNET! lol... i nearly got banned from multiple libraries for... ahem... "research"

I'm shamelessly returning to the subject of manly guns and all that
This is a Matchlock rifle that I designed by my own (with the plan of constructing it as well :rolleyes:)

And a close-up on the left of the matchlock

edit: If anyone wonders why in gods name I designed the metal by the trigger to be so... sharp and pointy?
well that was just to tease anyone who would actually wanna fire with it (lulz)

Rifled barrels are better for accuracy. however the velocity and range is more limited than a smoothbore. Modern MBTs use Smoothbore guns because the tank itself can compensate for the innacuracies caused by the lack of rifling

Er. The Challenger uses a rifled gun.

I sketched a small side view of the aircraft from before.
Haven't decided on where to throw in the cockpit yet:rolleyes:

I finished redesigning the L-147. When I was redesigning the Monarch and Manta all I really had to do was add detail, but with the L-147 I've had to completely redraw it.

It wasn't very heavily armed before, despite being a heavy fighter, so now I've given it three 28mm Rotor guns. That should be enough to warrant its heavy fighter title.

Oh sweet Lord... teh funky Ekranoplans! W00t! I assume the one on the left is the troop transport version, while the right is the anti-ship one..?

Great work as always, Wyrm... btw, there's an account of the use of a cruiser-sized, nuclear-powered equivalent here. Well... among many other events. But it's commanded by an alt-Yuri Gagarin, which only makes it cooler. :)

Heh. I wouldn't thought a smoothbore would have less accuracy, like a musket compared to a rifle.
Guess you learn new shit every day...

Hmm... first time I've seen that outside Family Guy. What's it actually from (pls note I'm English, so I wouldn't know)

Er. The Challenger uses a rifled gun.
Yeah... good point. According to wiki, that's so it can still use HESH rounds (which it seems require rifling).

NBC TV commercials. I don't think they have them on the air anymore, but several years ago they were relatively common. Short little inspirational/informational messages from celebrities telling you not to do drugs, steal, or just not do something bad.

No, I just made it without markings so anyone could use it.
This is a US design.

Ah, nice... I'm wondering exactly how vast that thing is, given the relative size of the cockpit. :-o
yes, CivilizationIII , or did you miss all the posts I wrote that?
Ah... interesting, I've still got that. Woo!

Could you also sort out the ridiculous corruption effects? Or do you just do the unit models (cool and painstaking as they are :) )
