MW-115 "Wolverine" Heavy Mechanized Walker
Height: 10 meters
Mass: 60 tons
Role: heavy close-combat walker
Crew: 1
Manufacturer: General Motors
Shields: 3 E9 J
Armour: Standard
Powerplant: Ultracompact Tokamak Fusion Reactor
Fixed Armament: 1GJ Particle Projector Cannon (2, arm-mounted); 500 MW Deuterium Fluoride Pulse Laser (2, torso-mounted); 55mm Automatic Cannon (2, arm-mounted); 25mm Automatic Cannon (4, torso-mounted); 20-tube Multirole Standoff Missile Pod (1, torso-mounted)

The fearsome Wolverine heavy mech. One of the most common combat walkers used in the CGU Army, it was introduced prior to the Zaaroft War as part of a modernization and improvement overhaul performed in the early 6280's. Seeing combat as much as 50 years after its construction, the Wolverine is a venerable, versatile design that packs heavy fire-power in a relatively quick-moving package.

I demand to know where you found this image!!! I have been looking for good mech pictures for six months!

I...drew it.
On MS Paint.

But I based on the picture off a pic of the Mad Cat Mk.II from sarna.net, a Battletech wiki. It has pictures and info readouts on various mechs and vehicles from BT.
And, there's a site called warhawk enterprises that has loads of pictures of BT mecha.

Yesterday, after watching "Mr & Mrs Smith" I got in the mood for designing a rifle.
I wanted it to have a futuristic feeling about it and I wanted the soldier carrying the gun to be able to only make small moves while changing mag.

I haven't decided on the size of the bullets, but I've decided that the mag should hould about 36-38 possibly up to 40 bullets.

The Laser sight is kinda built-in into the body of the rifle. Scopes and so on can be attached via the "rails" on top of the rifle.
It is also possible to take off the front grip if someone would prefer that.

Hope u like it, and no, I didn't get any inspiration from the P-90 or any other rifle. This is solely based on my own thoughts.

After posting the rifle above, I sat down and started sketching a sci-fi hover tank.
This is what I've got so far.

The machine-gun turret can rotate 360 degrees
The main gun is either 120mm or 130mm (for comparison; M1A2 Abrams has a 120mm)
Crew: This tank can be controlled by an A.I. So most of the time the crew is Zero humans. 2 humans can, however, control the tank.

Speed: ? Since it's a hover tank I guess it can go pretty fast... maybe 130-150 kph?
Armor: Unknown as of yet
Fear factor: It has a gun, it's armored and it fukken Hovers! Nuff said.

Hapsburg, that is fricken amazing. I must ask, how do you do so well on Paint? I'm trying to improve my skills, but seriously, its nothing like that!

The L-12, the Commonwealth Confederacy's latest fighter craft. With a slimmer, more streamlined design than the Ga-202 and twin jet engines, the L-12 is capable of extremely high speeds. Combined with good maneuverability and a pair of the Commonwealth's Hunter 18mm rotor guns, the L-12 is a force to be reckoned with.

Though it has not yet seen true combat yet, the L-12 has excelled in test exercises, and it will soon participate in the Ethiopian Civil war, where it will assist the oppressed Somalians gain their freedom.

Not as advanced as Ireland's latest fighters, but it could certainly give them a run for their money.

Thats pretty damn cool looking...

I made this 3-minute sketch with the "I want reversed wings!" idea in mind (like the Su-47: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-47 )
but when I looked at the final drawing, it felt as thought the bottom part should be the front.

maybe it could go both ways? haha that would be a sight for sore eyes

What does internet think?

Reversed wings at the front of a plane make it look weird. The Sukhoi Su-47 has its main wings near the back and all the other little wings face the normal way.

The plane looks much better if you turn it upside down. :D

Now, I decided to add some detail to the Monarch heavy bomber. Note the different roundels and the fact that it now sports two flags instead of one. This is because it is now part of the Commonwealth Air Force, not the Carthagian Air Force, and so now sports the less showy Commonwealth roundel which, unlike the Carthagian one, sports no religious symbols. This is because Carthage was very much about unity between the two largest religious groups in Carthage, the Christians and the Muslims, and so liked to add the symbols of both nations wherever it could. The Commonwealth, however, contains nations that have a variety of different religions, including Buddhism and animist religions, so it has decided to remove all religious symbols and references from everything.

Also note how the plane now sports two different little flags on the front instead of two of the same flag. The flag on the left is the flag of the Commonwealth Confederacy, and the flag on the left is the flag of Carthage, a member of the CC.

Also note how the turrets have changed. This is because I was adding little clasps onto the edge of the cockpit in order to make it look like it could be airtight and so allow the plane to rise to very high altitudes. I think realised that the turrets were not sealed, so the two gunners would die if the plane went too high, so I had to design them to be completely airtight.

Cool. Reminds me a lot of the CGU's hovertank I designed (the pic is somewhere earlier in this thread. I also have a file of it on my mom's computer).
Except that the CGU's Mk.50 MBT has twin main cannons (which are modular, and can be switched between various beam cannons and various calibers of rifled or smoothbore cannons) and two coaxial 40mm autocannons. :D

what about a double bore? Smoothbore for 65% of the barrel, and Rifled for 35%... how would that work?
Or two barrels, one rifled, one smoothbore...for versatility.
Wait, what difference does it make for tank guns? I mean...rifled barrels for small-arms are commonplace for obvious reasons. Why do they still use smoothbores for tank guns if rifled barrels are better in general? This has always confused me.

Rifled barrels are better for accuracy. however the velocity and range is more limited than a smoothbore. Modern MBTs use Smoothbore guns because the tank itself can compensate for the innacuracies caused by the lack of rifling

Heh. I wouldn't thought a smoothbore would have less accuracy, like a musket compared to a rifle.
Guess you learn new shit every day...
