Alternate Roadside Attractions and Tourist Traps

So, as I'm on the road with family for a last minute 48 hour getaway during spring break, and after having stopped at one of a plethora of roadside attractions that dot the American landscape from coast to coast (specifically, the type that hype up local history that may or may not be totally accurate, but the locals will defend to the death), I began to ponder what such sights might look like in one of the TL's I'm working on, and then thought it would be cool for other people to share their own.

So this will work pretty simply. Post the name of the tourist attraction, list what town/city and state/territory/province it's located in, and give a quick blurb from in timeline describing the sight. These can be from established timelines of your own, fan-fics of places in someone else's world, or a quick write up that doesn't have a TL that it already belongs to. If there IS a correlating TL, please indicate it so people can go check out the larger world your little tourist trap exists in.

CRASH SITE OF THE ZEPPELIN "EASTERN DREAM"

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Overview: Come and see the final resting place of the Texas Zeppelin Company's "Eastern Dream," which crashed while on a flight from Bentonville, Texas to Boston in August of 1916. The privately-owned museum opened in 1989, and is largely a labor of love by owner Kerry Wentworth, who has spent his life studying the history of Ferdinand Zeppelin and his Texas Zeppelin Company. The museum contains original pieces of the ill-fated airship, along with other artifacts from TZC and the Zeppelin Family. Outside, there is a memorial marking the exact spot where the ship went down, and an obelisk erected in memory of Ferdinand Zeppelin, who died in the crash.
