Alternate Rickroll?

Assuming that Never Gonna Give You Up never existed or was never randomly chosen by whoever invented the practice of Rickrolling, what song do you think would fill the gap?

Is it really inevitable that rickrolling would have come about at all?

Agreed, I think we need to analyze possible butterflies that will occur if "Never Gonna Give You Up" isn't created, I think this could delay or maybe even prevent the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe. :p

Historically, rick-rolling was preceded by the practice of duck-rolling people, which would be a sensationalist headline that would lead to this picture:

Later on, people would troll with misleading youtube links (which worked because youtube's system obfuscated video names in the url).

Commonly including this one, which had the duckroll picture with "The Picard Song" by DarkMateria behind it.

Duck-rolling

So a plausible POD is that when 4chan starts their Project Chanology protests of scientology, they use the duckroll video instead of rick-rolling, which in turn causes youtube to use that for their 2008 April Fools day prank where every youtube link would redirect to Never Gonna Give You Up, and THAT was the event OTL that brought rick-rolling into the public consciousness.
