hey, all. yeah, you know me :p i'm as concerned with internal fiction for my ASB ATL as i am with the actual historical events. i find it to be a good and entertaining thought exercise ;)

so one of the things i'm considering for my TL is an alternate Disney Animated Canon, for the most part just accounting for previous changes to the TL (part of why i look into internal fiction in the first place), namely the lack of world wars in this case. i'll provide a full list of films in TTL's animated canon later on, but for now i mainly have one big question concerning a later entry to the animated canon--TTL's version of Hercules. here's the basic summary i've written so far, for context:

“Jupiter and his latest wife on Mount Olympus are overjoyed at the birth of their son Hercules while his first wife, Juno, is angry and jealous. Juno sends her own son, Mars, to kidnap Hercules and take him to the mortal world, where he is stripped of his godly abilities. However, Mars is unable to finish the job before a pair of mortals appear, who adopt Hercules as their own son. Years later, the incredibly strong Hercules is hated by mortals as a freak, unaware of his divine heritage. Hercules goes to the Temple of Jupiter for guidance and learns that he is actually a god, and is charged with finding the faun Philoctetes to be trained as a hero and regain his godhood. Over time, Hercules becomes a famed hero, but fame isn’t enough to get him back to Olympus. Depressed, Hercules is suddenly met by Juno, who has taken his friends hostage and”

unfortunately that's as far as i've gotten for a summary

with the above in mind, the most notable changes are that Roman names are used instead of the Greek ones (because there's a more consistent Roman naming scheme ITTL, except in Greek and a few other countries) and the villain is Juno instead of Hades/Pluto. the latter is where the question i mentioned before comes in: who should play Juno in this version? while i've mainly concerned myself with differences of plot so far for this and other pieces of internal fiction, i DO plan to eventually look into what actors will play each character as well, so that i can address them as well as more internationally important figures like heads of state. the easiest way to look at this would probably be to look at actresses comparable to James Woods (as well as Jack Nicholson and John Lithgow, who were also offered the role of Hades IOTL) and go from there, but i unfortunately don't know of any actresses similar to them. any help on this?
