No 9/11 and Green defeats Bloomberg.

EDIT: On update, there's this great profile in Slate from August 2001 calling Green the near-certain "next mayor of New York." It even somewhat eerily alludes to non-New Yorkers as those "out of sight of the Twin Towers," just about three weeks before 9/11.
