alternate names for places based on ancient egyptian ones?

Regardless of concrete PODs, can anyone suggest alternate geographical terminology for parts of Europe, Asia and africa and its inhabitants based on an egyptian language with greater continuities to ancient egyptian than otl's coptic?

Like e.g. we have old keftiu for crete, alashiya for cyprus, punt for somewhere in Eastern Africa.

Random one--Darfur = Ta-Fur. It's cognate (via shared Afroasiatic root Ta/Dar) with Arabic Darfur, meaning "Land of the Fur" (although the Fur people didn't arrive until much later). But it's plausible similar names to Ta-(X) might arise in some places.

I was going to say Keftiu. There is also the stela commemorating a voyage of an Egyptian to and around the Greek cities - I'm not sure whether the names are the Greek ones, or the Egyptian ones that have since been translated to Greek ones?
