Alternate names for Alaska

Hello, AH.com.
What would some alternate names for the US state of Alaska be? Maybe Aleutia?
What alternative names were proposed in OTL? Surely it wasn't just Alaska on the table.

Maybe have the Russians name it after the Yup'ik initially? Not sure how Yup'ikland would turn out in Russian (although I'd be fascinated to find out!) This would likely mean, of course, that the Chirkikov and Bering expeditions somehow make landfall significantly north than where they did in OTL, maybe at the mouth of Kukokwim River. Not sure how the currents of the area work and whether this is realistic or doable.

By the time the US acquired it, the name Alaska was fairly fixed. The purchase referred to Alaska, so it was immediately called the Department of Alaska, then district, then territory, then state.

The Russians could potentially have applied a different name as they settled there -- perhaps Sitka, Yup'ik. Alternatively, it could have wound up as something like Arctic America, Northwest Territory, Beringland.
