Alternate Life Paths of American Revolutionaries

This comment on my CoHE TL got me to thinking . . .

OTL Knox was pretty unknown before the crises of the 1770s led, spurred on by his support for the Sons of Liberty and his reaction to the Boston Massacre. This led to his service at
Bunker Hill and thence to Ticonderoga. I suppose it's possible he's still interested in the army, but he will need to have had a very different career path to end up as Secretary of War. I have my doubts, since I've always thought Knox one of the quintessential examples of how the Revolution elevated a whole group of people who OTL might not have achieved much of historical notice.

Let’s say that the situation/crisis in the colonies is diffused somehow and thus the ARW did not occur. Perhaps some sort of Dominion of North America, stretching from the Maritimes to the Floridas & Bahama is created. It’s now 1797. What are folks, such as Nathan Hale, Henry Knox, Paul Revere, John Jay, Thomas Payne, among others, doing in this alternate “America”?

alternate lives of revolutionaries

George Washington- plantation owner
John Adams -Successful Lawyer
Andrew Jackson- indian fighter/privateer
Samuel Adams-owner of local brewery:)
Benjaman Franklin- chemist/phisicist?

I imagine more than a few of them are hanged, to tell the truth.

Unless you're presuming no Revolution, and I misunderstood.

Even with no Revolution, I imagine Thomas Payne ends up hanged.
