Alternate Italian Unifications?

What are the other possible ways for the Italian peninsula to be united, given the following conditions:

1. Either after the Congress of Vienna?
2. Or after the Peace of Westphalia?

Probably, in cause of worst Austrian and Spanish defeat in Thirty Years War, the birth of an Italian confederation promoved by France could be possible; after 1815 seemed more difficult, but maybe if Austria didn't form Lombardo-Veneto, the confederation solution ( in this cause against France) maybe isn't impossible.

But i better bet on a full indipendence of KoI in Middle Ages, if Otto I failed to retrieve it...

Maybe at the Congress of Vienna a North Italy Kingdom or and Expanded Venetian Repubblic are proposed as a buffer between A-H and France

the congress of Vienna wasn't all about restoration of previous rulers? that doesn't sound plausible. The initial plan agreed by Cavour and Napoleon III involved an italy split in three, with a piedmont-controlled north, centre controlled by the papacy and bourbon south (but that's 40 years away).

After the congress I don't really see a different path than IOTL to have a united Italy, maybe an earlier PoD, but I wouldn't know what anf when.

Possibly during the Revolutions of 1848.

Also, Napoleon could have set up a unified Italy during his reign.

The Congress of Vienna was all about restoring the status quo as it stood before the Revolution as much as possible, while also ensuring a balance of power between the Great Powers. A unified Italy is very unlikely to come out of such a conference.
