Sorry if this is a bit ASB. I was just wondering, what if a major hurricane in the past had occurred differently (more/less powerful, different track)? Here are a few suggestions for debate (feel free to come up with others):
1938: The Long Island Express veers about 40-60 miles to the west, hitting New York City head-on.
1969: Hurricane Camille hits New Orleans.
1992: Hurricane Andrew does more damage to Miami.
2005: Hurricane Katrina is a Category 5 storm when it makes landfall.
2005: Hurricane Rita hits Houston as a Category 5 storm, as was initially predicted.
