First I'll obviously explain the scenario.
During the Hussite uprising the Polish King was offered the crown of Bohemia which up to that point was often the Holy Roman Emperor and an important cultural center of the HRE. The Polish King, being the good catholic he was refused as not to hurt his relations with the Pope. (which disliked the Poles for fighting the Teutons anyway)

At the same time some 1000km away Jeanne d'Arc was to be burned. This scenario assumes 2 things:
1. The Polish King accepts the Bohemian crown
2. Jeanne d'Arc is not burned.

The leadup to the scenario and story starts at the Battle of Grünwald where the Poles, Lithuenians and Allies defeated the Teutonic Order which had the Backing of the HRE and the Pope.

Later in real history the Teutons did not like the Peace treaty the Poles proposed so they complained to the Pope who rewrote it to some extent so that both parties were equally displeased with it...
In my scenario the Pope takes clearly the Teutons side in effect making the Poles way more displeased as they basically lost even though they won the Battle.

This makes the Poles less loayal to the Pope. While the King of Poland later accepts the Bohemian crown he is reluctant about it and barely supports the Hussites. Meanwhile his relative and heir who was the Grand Prince of Lithuenia, (The Polish-Lithuenian Union was in a weird state for soe time backthen) became a very big supporter of the Hussite cause numerous times helping them out and even whiping out a set up by the catholics schism. (which in real history lead to the fall of the Hussites)

Meanwhile during Jeanne d'Arcs trail her letter condemning the Hussites (which was a real thing) is leaked to the Pope, by a pious English Bishop, along with how the English king tried to set her up as an heretic using underhanded methods.

This concludes with the Pope freeing Jeanne d'Arc. Putting the 100-year war into an akward stalemate. (the disputed land is temporarily to be administered by the Holy See). The current English King is dethroned and his whole family threatened with excommunication uness the next English King swears to participate in the Anti-Hussite Crussade of which the Maiden of Orleans is proclaimed the head of.

Thie conflict is calm for a few years with mostly small battles between both sides being fought over Bohemia. All untill the Polish King dies. The next King now sharing the Power of Lithuenia, Poland and Bohemia proclaims himself the only true Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in which some minor HRE nations support him. Effectively sending a decaration of war towards all of Europe as he basically proclaimed Hussitism to be the one true faith.

This makes Everyone from western Europe join the Crussade. Pitting Poland, Lithuenia, Bohemia and their HRE and Tatar allies against the Rest of western Europe. (Except the Nordic guys, the Hussites rose there up too and their kinda having a civil war there)

The stary starts during the first grand battle of the conflict, where Jeanne d'Arc is to face of against Jan Żiżka one of the 7 undefeated commanders in history.

Some excluding the story for now.
I do love the scenario, but I don't want to give to many spoilers.

I'm kinda conflicted.
I can't draw.
Should I try writing this as a series of short stories even though I 100% know that it does not fit the written format very well, or should I try learning to draw as much as possible and try to do a badly drawn comic instead???

I deffinetly love this scenario as it has been bouncing around in my head for about a year. I even did a lot of research regarding tactics used predominantly in the period as well as by the Hussites and Jeanne d'Arc speciffically.

Though it would be nice if I could get an "historical accuracy consultant" if I'll actually do it.
So should it be a very weirdly divided series of short stories not fitting the short story form well at all or a badly drawn comic?

Any other ideas? Should I just let the idea be?

PLEASE do this!(I like any ATL where Joan of Arc lives) However, I must express one re-
servation(sorry!) The English were, IOTL, determined to burn Joan if they ever got
their hands on her- & when they did they
did. I can't see them obeying a Papal order
to release her. Remember- 100 years later
an English king, confronted with a Pope who
wouldn't do what he wanted, took England
out of the Catholic Church. I really think that
rather than release Joan, the English in this
situation might well have acted like Henry
VIII. How Viorp, do you plan to get around
this?

Hi! I can't draw either, but I have knowledge on the context, even written a Hussite timeline myself, so I'm volunteering as historical accuracy advisor. There are already a few things, I'll PM you later, if that's OK.

The Pope demands 3 things.
1. The abdication of the current English King and the ENglish Participation in the Anti-Hussite Crussade.
2. The release of Joan d'Arc.
3. Putting the 100YW on hold.

The Pope was much stronger than then 100 years later. If he excommunicated the King he would effectively take his dynasties claim to the English throne, basically hacing the English King hostage.
He also would put the 100YW on hold which would be adventagous to the English which were about to loose giving them time to recover manpower and economically.
Joanne d'Arc was burned by the inquisition which was paid off to by the English King. The inquisition serves the Pope and effectively can't disobey him, he can effectively replace every involved bishop due to the breaking if inquisition rules during Jeanne's trial.

+the English theoretically could side with the Hussites, but that would be a huge gamble.
