Alternate History... Literally

Hi guys :)

This will be my first attempt at a TL, but before i start i want to know if anyone is actually interested in it

It will be kind of different from most TLs because i will format it like this one: https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=851

With maps and years as a way of telling the story

The other thing that will set this apart is that i will be recreating the entirety of human history

Basically Mesopotamia either fails very early on or simply never exists

For the starting map here it is, i tried to put one civilization on every continent

Constructive criticism is appreciated :)
Feel free to suggest plot points for the TL i may just incorporate them ;)

Is it the fact that i will basically be recreating everything?

Well, that and trying to do so in a plausible way.*

Critically with major civilisations that almost all spawn in hostile context (floods, near-polar, near-desertic).

Are you planning to do some alternate linguistics?

Plausibility will be a problem i agree

But as for the cities in the unwelcoming conditions, obviously not all will survive

And yes i am

But "races" will be the same. I.e people from Africa will still have dark skin

What about, for exemple, "Old Europe" cultures as Vinča or Proto-Aquitains; or Indo-Europeans cultures.

Cultures like those will still exist, but the point of this TL is half because i am interested in what i can come up with, and the other half is because i want a completely different history

Really small and badly detailed turn just to describe the current city states

8500 BC: The city-state of Chiric begins to expand on the Horn Of Africa*, Thus becoming the start of civilization

8450 BC: The city-state of Xir expands in Siberia*, but they are hindered greatly due to the near polar conditions

8245 BC: The city-states of Aam, Fesri, And Juun all arise around this time

8100 BC: Aam creates the first primitive wheel in order to more effectively grind grain

8000 BC: Xir expands even more as they slowly adapt to their environment

This is an extremely ambitious project, especially for your first ATL. Expect to get some pretty big criticism as this goes on, just in terms of making mistakes (I was pretty bad with my first TLs). That being said, good luck and if nothing else, this will be great practice for you! :)

P.S. Oh, and welcome to AH.com!

Thanks!

And i accept any criticism given to me because i want to learn!
