I agree 100% but you left out the instant Sunshine that I'm sure would be given to Russia and they would probably would be pushed back to the pre-war borders at least.if the soviets broke their end of the deal, WW II would last longer.
By the time the soviets got to Berlin they were
1. pushing the limits of extension
2. very tired
3. everything between berlin and Moscow was ash.
in the west, things are not that much better.
This said, if the Soviets break the deal, then they invade France and Italy ( that last part would be a tough sell ) but even then, the west is going to fight, tired or not.
Europe will suffer an extended war for the next year, but it will result in the capitulation of the Soviet Union and many many many more dead.
at least 3 months before we have the bomb ready.. that's enough time to push for the Rhine. Also depends on when they break their deal and how, do they attempt to be as secretive as possible about it to inflict casualties and or capture as many troops as possible. ( in other words greet.. say hello then have the second wave overrun the unprepared ( though I am fairly certain the west was prepared either way )) ( that too me would be the most effective but will also trigger a fight that the soviets really can ill afford. )I agree 100% but you left out the instant Sunshine that I'm sure would be given to Russia and they would probably would be pushed back to the pre-war borders at least.
After the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki the United States only had 2 nuclear weapons left. In 1946 the United States only had 9 nuclear weapons. Unless the first couple of bombs scare the Soviets into coming in to the peace table then this is not enough. The Soviets has plenty of spies in the Manhattan Project though, so they would know that the United States had a shortage of nuclear weapons. Allied bombers did not have the range to reach Moscow or St. Petersburg either.I agree 100% but you left out the instant Sunshine that I'm sure would be given to Russia and they would probably would be pushed back to the pre-war borders at least.
