Excluding alternate history stories involving WWII Japan, are there any good alternate history novels or other material involving Japan going down a different path in it's history?
There was this manga I can't remember the title of where a few Christians from modern day japan are sent back in time to prevent the Shimabara Rebellion and the ensuing extermination of the Christians that followed. . . you can probably find it if your google-fu is strong enough.
