Alternate Confederate President

What if Robert Toombs or Howell Cobb were instead elected as CSA President? Both had a reasonable chance of being chosen for the position but it ultimately fell to Jefferson Davis. What if either one of these men were elected? And what decisions might have been different without Davis as president? Thanks guys.

Edit: I imagine Toombs or Cobb could've been chosen had Davis's desire for an army command been more stressed. Just a thought.

Robert Toombs IOTL criticised Jefferson Davis of the attack on Fort Sumter, maybe Toombs would wait a few months or years before a starting a war.

I have always thought would make a good president of the Confederate States of America

Part of the problem is that Georgia had three strong candidates for the office, those two and Alexander Stephens and they couldn't decide on one person. one of the reasons Toombs didn't get it was apparently he was noticed at a party being so drunk that he couldn't even stand up.
