I think you should have decreased the opacity of the embossed layer and blurred it one pixel.

Maybe. I'm still not that familiar with PAINT.net. So this is what I got. Anyway, would that make a more believeable coin?

Two banknotes from Map Continuation, both for 50 Dinars. The first is for 50 Carthagian Dinars whilst the second is for 50 Commonwealth Dinars. They're exactly the same currency, just with a different name.
In 1931 the Great Green Carthagian Commonwealth [actually the Carthagian Empire, the Commonwealth bit was to make it seem less like an empire] reformed into the Great Free Commonwealth [similar to the EU, minus the parliament and the Commonwealth Council is made up of the Heads of State, not Heads of Government]. The various colonies [which weren't really colonies, little to no colonisation took place] of the GGCC were de facto independent for a long time before this reformation, and the GGCC's two vassals, Australia and Biru, were also allowed to join the GFC as equal and independent nations with presidential governments based off the Althingan model [Althing was a Carthagian Special Territory that was peacefully admitted into/taken over by the GGCC].
As a result of the reformation, the Carthagian Dinar was renamed the Commonwealth Dinar and the Carthagian cross-and-infinity symbol was removed and replaced with a stylised version of the Commonwealth Flag.

I think you need to blur the emboss layer a bit. Then those shall be perfect.
I really like those. They have a clean look, while still having good looking ornamentation.
I wish Europe had adopted the Eastern practice of minting coins with holes in the middle.

She gets elected Prime Minister. Actually, she's the current Prime Minister, which is why she's there. Well, not her personally, but I'm using her image for Catriona Ni Chonmac, the current (well, 1933), Prime Minister of Ireland.

I wouldn't mind the real Jenna Fischer as a political leader, it would sure beat what we have currently going.
It all seems very interesting, I always wanted to tackle the MC thread just for the hell of it, it seems very detailed. But it's running close to 200 pages, no?
