Alternate Anne Heche Career

For a while after the movie Volcano (LA) movie came out in mid-90s,
Anne Heche was considered "hot property" by the Hollywood moguls,
however, the publicity of the Ellen Degeneres relationship and the flop
of Wag the Dog political movie dropped her off the A list.

Then to compound the disaster, a year or two later, she flopped again with Return to Paradise (about a sister trying to save a brother in Thai prison) and Six Days, Seven Nights (a bad comedy with Harrison Ford)...

What if she had not revealed her lesbianism...
She could have done a pentahouse spread or something else to elevate
that rise to stardom...

Heche is a stunningly beautiful woman but she has limitations as an actress. She's not untalented and may improve with time. I certainly hope so, as I'd like to see more of her, literally and figuratively.;)

I don't think the lesbianism hurt her at all. In fact, a girl-on-girl spread of her in Playboy would probably break sales records, (unless it was with deGeneres, in which case Playboy might well fold up. ) The real problem might be related to the title (and content) of her autobio "Call Me Crazy". "A" list movies are billion dollar enterprises nowadays, and even the hint that someone might be difficult to work with is enough to knock them out of the running.
