Since there have been threads about alternate 70's, 80's and 90's scenarios, so I will try some Alternate 60's scenarios:

1967: Biafra received support from the international community from countries such as Chile, Brazil, United States, India, Ghana, South Korea, Japan, West Germany, Canada, Sweden, Philippines, Australia, Greece, New Zealand, Uganda, France and Italy.

1968: Instead of the Commonwealth of Virginia selling Washington and Old Dominion Railroad to the Virginia Electric Power Company (now Dominion Virginia Power), they decide to try something bold and risky; turn the line from Alexandria, VA and Leesburg, VA into light rail. To accommodate Dulles International Airport, the former railroad spur that went to Dulles to help with its construction, would be used for light rail to the airport.
