WI the Jamestown colonists went to Manhattan and took root there,
..and as butterflies, the Pilgrim Separatists and then Puritans settled in Delaware Bay
The Dutch settled the Cheseapeake
& the Swedes settled Boston/Cape Cod
How might things develop, with the English colonies starting and concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic, with the Swedes to the north and the Dutch to the south of them.
Do the Swedes or Dutch have any shot at keeping their colonies longer. That would be interesting.
But even if they get taken over by the English by the end of the 1600s, and all of the east coast from Maine to Georgia has an Anglo destiny by the mid-1700s, it is interesting to have the founder cultures spread around:
Cavaliers on the Hudson, Puritans around the Delaware, a Swedish residue at least in Massaschussetts, a Dutch layer in Virginia and the latter Quakers and Anglo-Barbadians and Germans and Scots-Irish who knows where.
Any speculation on the impact of the initial concept.
