Alt-History Aftermath Scenarios Implied by Media

Superman: red son depicts a world where the United States basically destroyed its political institutions to survive the Cold War with the Soviet Superman

after Luthor’s inevitable departure…that is going to be a shitshow

Actually in the comics red son things turned out surprisingly well...

All three of them. Quantum, Spectre, and the latest one. They had their claws sunk in most major nations as well, but the UK managed to weather the storm the best thanks to Bond's actions, though Casino Royale and QoS imply the War on Terror of the 2000s still happened.

Yeah it seems that Spectre's gotten their influence down into the US State Department, and M downright chastises Bond for taking a job from the CIA.

That's the biggest one, the UK in Craig Bondverse has it be in a world same as our's, but be at least as influential as it was in the early Cold War. They also manage to deploy a destroyer in the Pacific Ocean very, very quickly. I'm not knowledgeable on if there's British territory there already in OTL, but could this mean that the UK's kept Hong Kong as a port ITTL? Or have leasing rights in Australia? Either way, its a blink and you'll miss it moment, but M briefly says that its not just the Russians and Japanese angry at the UK's deployment in disputed waters there, they're having issues with the USA as well.

Then there's the Nine Eyes in Spectre, rather than Five Eyes of OTL. Nine Eyes is said to include the following countries:
Confirmed members:
Spain
China
France
Germany
Japan
South Africa
United Kingdom
United States
Australia

Ambiguous members:
Italy

With it being specifically listed out as "representatives of the Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, South African, British, and American intelligence services were present at Nine Eyes' inaugural meeting in Tokyo, Japan."
Consider that Israel, Russia, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Brazil, are going to be pissed that they weren't invited to the party. Just consider how angry the MOSSAD and RSB are feeling, being left out of the talks. Also consider that North Korea would be concerned that all of the nations involved are opposed to North Korea having the nuclear bomb...

In one of the many possible endings in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Soviet agent Perseus detonates the nukes that were apart of Project Greenlight, a US program started by Eisenhower, across Europe that kills many civilians. What is the political fallout of this?

It depends, there are several alternatives even within the Soviet end to post-Greenlight reconstruction, such as Soviet agents in post-Greenlight Western Europe and maneuvers throughout the United States.

Call of Duty Cold War, Soviet Ending.

11:28 forward.
6:32 forward.
36:52 forward.
Subtle differences in different Soviet endings, especially with the fate of different Perseus elements and assets.

In my opinion (based on the endings I have seen, although there are quite possibly more differences), HasanAbi's ending is the 'most optimal ending' for Perseus and the Soviet Union, everything that could have gone well turned out well.
* The West is in chaos.
** Agents of Perseus in post-nuclear Europe will begin to create the future of post-nuclear Europe, aligned with Soviet interests.
* Perseus' key agents in the United States are preparing a next phase of the new world domination at the hands of the Soviet Union as the sole superpower.
**Problems of CIA-FBI and the American government against the Soviets.

Personally speaking I find the ending where Bell survives and once again becomes a major part of Perseus‘ network to be the most interesting one, despite, you know, the tens of millions of people dying. Just because it would be interesting to see the sort of operations said network carries out in the aftermath of their plan succeeding.

I've posted about this ending before, but I'm just curious. What was the state of the Soviet economy by 1981, because I doubt the Soviets have the will or ability to project itself over all of Europe, especially a Europe that has been razed to the ground.

Also, I keep looking at the map of bombs in Europe and somehow, the Americans were able to sneak a bomb into Communist Poland. How? I don't know.

The original Black Ops literally has a CIA team raid Mount Yamatau, aka the Russian Cheyenne Mountain Complex

Call of Duty has always played fast and loose with logistics

1-Last years of Brezhnev.
Stagnation, but isnt that bad yet
2-Its Call of Duty, the 'ability to project itself" is there.
Since the game says it.
3- American assets or allies in Poland isnt that weird. Or maybe is a mistake of the game or another plan of Perseus to gain Polish loyalty.

Also, not quite outright alternate history itself, but the 2002 horror film Deathwatch

Has a British squad almost wiped out by paranormal forces, which its implied slaughtered a unit of Germans, and will go on to wipe out another unit of British soldiers.

How would the public react to the fact terrifying entities are stalking the trenches?

In the Star Trek Universe, the Soviet Union never fell or got back again in the 23th Century.
My own personal headcanon, back from when I was a 90s kid Trekker, was that "Leningrad" is the name of a popular (presumably Soviet-styled) theme park.

I mean, hey, it's been 300 years...it'd be like a Ren Faire, or Disneyland. People from the actual 1600s would probably find those baffling, too.

Just be glad we didn't get to see the park they have in Germany. Eek.

Sounds fun XD.
Even if from retrospective, it doesn't make much sense

Perseus’s attack will end the Reagan Revolution and destroy the economy

The ruination of an entire continent has consequences

In fullmetal alchemist: conquerors of shamballa, the nazis beer ball putsch involved seizing advanced technology from an alternate universe to help in their conquest of Germany and the rest of Europe

an earlier world war 2 with advanced technology

holy fuck that would have had profound effects on the timeline

The obscure 1978 novel The Hermes Fall. An asteroid named Hermes collides with Earth on 25 August 1980 after a failed attempt to deflect it. It’s not civilization ending but still has quite a few consequences, like thrown up gunk blanketing the sky and deteriorating weather.

....actually,imma make a sequel TL someday
