I decided I couldn't end it on such a high note. I give you the 2013 Minnesota Vikings Season!
Week 1: vs Green Bay Packers (L) 34-10
Well, they don't get off to a great start. Turns out Aaron Rodgers is a little bit upset about the NFC Championship Game. Still, the Defending Superbowl Champs can bounce back! They have AD!
Week 2: at San Francisco 49ers (L) 33-3
Okay, this one didn't go too hot either. But this team went to the Superbowl last year! Surely they're not bad. The Vikings are still Superbowl Champs, they will defend their title!
Week 3: at New York Giants (L) 26-7
So this one was a blow out too. Well, we still have a ring. It's okay.
Week 4: vs Pittsburgh Steelers (L) 34-31
They almost won this one! Sure, they still lost, but the Steelers are a great team. The Vikings can turn it around.
Bye Week
This is the best week yet!
Week 6: vs Atlanta Falcons (L) 41-0
The Vikings just got shut the hell out. Excuses are running out. And AD suffered a minor leg injury. But I'm sure he'll be back next week, right?
Week 7: at Chicago Bears (L) 31-30
Damn those Bears! So close to the first win! Maybe playoffs aren't realistic, but AD had a monster day. We can start to rack up some wins and not be a complete embarrassment.
Week 8: at Dallas Cowboys (L) 30-24
Yeah, I've got nothing. Life is pain. That leg injury might be more serious than we thought, too.
Week 9: vs Washington Redskins (W) 31-30
We... won? YES! We're not the worst team in the league! We might make it back to a superbowl yet!
Week 10: At Green Bay Packers (T) 26-26
Ha! Hopefully this ruins things for them! Also, It's about time we ditch Ponder. Cassel might be a good option...
Week 11: vs Cleveland Browns (L) 17-10
We just lost to the god damn Browns. And it looks like Adrian Peterson is out for the year. Please, make it stop.
Week 12: At Detroit Lions (L) 34-5
Season's over. Why are they still playing?
Week 13: At Baltimore Ravens (L) 30-15
At least AD got over 1,000 yards before he was out.
Week 14: At Cincinnati Bengals (L) 21-6
So Frazier is gone. Musgrave is acting HC. Maybe he can make something happen.
Week 15: vs Philadelphia Eagles (W) 47-31
Our offense just came alive! Frazier was clearly the problem! Let's get Musgrave a young QB and see what happens!
Week 16: vs Detriout Lions (W) 14-13
Yep, clearly.
Week 17: vs Chicago Bears (L) 34-21
And that's the end of the Metrodome. Going out with yet another loss.
There are reasons for optimism for these Vikings, even though they went 3-12-1. Because Musgrave is their new Head Coach, and with the second draft pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Minnesota Vikings select Blake Bortles. Together, every Vikings fan is sure that those two will lead them back to the promised land.
The End.
