Alex Ferguson killed in Ibrox disaster

PoD: Alex Ferguson and his brother Martin don't leave Ibrox Sstadium before the game ends on January 2, 1971, and make the mistake of taking Stairway 13 out, and are thus killed in the Ibrox stampede.

Effects on Manchester United and English football, anyone?

Effects on football throughout Britain are great. He never takes Aberdeen to win two European trophies(Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup) or three league titles in a row, and it is debatable over whether any other Aberdeen manager would have done so.

As for Manchester United, would they be as big? I actually doubt it, but they would still be a huge club. Its difficult to tell as he has had such an influence over them.
