Say Albania joins Yugoslavia shortly after world war 2 with Kosovo added to it.Would Yugoslavia still break up .

How would this impact Albania and the rest of Yugoslavia

If Yugoslavia still breaks up, what happens to Albania

If Tito is still president of Yugoslavia and practise same politics the country is still going collapse and this might be even messier. Serbs are not going accept Albanian Kosovo. And Macedonia would be even worse when Albania would try take Alban regions of the country.

Yugoslavia was historically offered a multiplicity if options.

It was repeatedly offered the opportunity of international communisation, and turned this down.

It was offered Tito’s semi ironic state capitalism. There may have been a loans based limit on this. Yet; Estonia.

It was offered the Slovene ironic shitposting of becoming Europe’s surrogate bowel partner by nSk, to heal what ailed Europe. Perhaps a psychiatric analogue is more tasteful given Zizek. Yugoslavia was offered the opportunity to feed Europe shit.

But nooooo. Slovene nomenklatura demanded capital and Croat and Serb nomenklatura had long demanded fascism.

Albania is not going to help.

The national myths of Kosovo Polje and League of Prizren hold the same parts of Balkan clay sacred, and that is not a recipe for stability.

But if you add in Bulgaria as well and seek to follow an EU-style road where internal borders are de-emphasized as much as possible and economic instead of the OTL national federatism is the guideline...nah, it would most likely still lead to separatist sentiments. And it wouldn't be anything near the OTL Yugoslavia.

History, especially violent past filled with vendettas, must be dealt with it in an open public debate - sweeping it under the rug, promoting a new myth of unity and sending the too loud dissidents to starve at the Adriatic islands chewing leather belts and boots does not work - Tito already tried that.

Ive always been partial to the organisation of Yugoslavia under Karađorđević, what without national boundaries and instead based on pirely geographic entities. Even better would be a federation decentralised strongly to the county level. It is impossible to draw fair and functionable ethnic borders in the Western Balkans.

Given the consensus almost entirely yes ,how does a formerly Yugoslav Albania look during the 1990s wars in the Balkans.

We need a surviving Yugoslavia so we see General Secretary Zizek make long-winded speeches about toilets, Hegel, and Alfred Hitchcock movies in front of the UN General Assembly. I'm sure Laibach and Neue Slowenische Kunst will be able to secure excellent Yugoslav-North Korean relations if Laibach still gets to perform in North Korea like OTL.

They became the first western band to play in North Korea when they performed a concert in Pyongyang on the 70th anniversary of the end of Japanese rule.
