Confederate Airlines (IATA Code: CF)
Founded in 1926 by aviation pioneer Walter Varney in El Paso, TX as Varney Speed Lines, which also gave rise to Transcontinental Airlines, Confederate Airlines is the largest commercial airline in the Confederate States of America. Headquartered in Dallas, TX, the airline serves over 200 destinations across the CSA, Europe, and Latin America, and recently gained rights to fly to Tokyo, Japan, via a stop in San Francisco, California, USA. It operates mainly Varney Corp. aircraft, such as V-110 (similar to OTL Boeing 737), but also operates a few US-made Boeing aircraft for international flights.
Transcontinental Airlines (IATA Code: TC)
One of the two airlines to arise from Varney Air Lines, Transcontinental Airlines was formed in 1934, after several businessmen bought Varney Speed Lines' El Paso division. Transcontinental Airlines is headquartered in Houston, TX, and is the second largest airline in the Confederate States of America. It is a fierce rival with the larger Confederate Airlines, but serves a different market. Confederate mainly caters to the business centers of the CSA and international markets, while Transcontinental focuses on domestic CSA routes and is the largest transborder airline between the United States and CSA.
*IATA Code refers to the abbreviation of airline names for reference to air traffic control.
