Air and Space Photos from Alternate Worlds.

It already was smaller. I did it again.

i love the idea of a swept wing A-10, i am just not to crazy about that built up fuselage hump behind the cockpit. i defently needs a better view to the rear.

But, but ... think all the added ammo for the cannon!

:p

I like the S.E.5 ... at least I think is a S.E.5 Its that an alt Eire roundel?

Auxiliary electronic surveillance aircraft clear the six and all weapons except sidewinders fire only forward. Internal fuselage volume allows additional carriage of weapons or fuel for extra range and persistence. Bigger engines, for higher performance, use more fuel and you have to pay the piper.

The ammunition load is comparable to that of the regular GAU-8, and it is similar ammunition.

The biplane is an Ansaldo SVA5, one of the fastest aircraft of WWI. The wings came off a Sopwith Snipe, because the SVA didn't have good manoeuverability and the Snipe did. OTL, it was a recce bird which required no escort because of its speed. I thought it would be nice if it could turn. The markings are Italian.

i might just build this one in model form that is.

meanwhile an ATL Me-262 for your pleasure

(pic and model, not mine!)

It's Italian. Designed by Umberto Savoia, Rudolfo Verduzio, and a fresh-faced kid named Celestino Rosatelli. Very few aircraft had the same degree of finish. Most of my furniture isn't finished as well either.

Did they also draw that and you just stole it from them ? :D I know the various Ansaldo models well, it's your interpretation I was commending.

I also installed an SPA6 engine in the Austin Ball fighter, designed by Brooks of Austin, and ace Albert Ball. This aircraft lost production to the SE5a due to lack of sufficient production of Hisso engines to do both.

Something that would fit Dave's TL 191: After the End perfectly:

One of the surplus Mustangs delivered to the Republic of Texas Air Force by the US after the SGW, as a reward on their post-war will to collaborate with the Union (including the handing over of all their Confederate-built Mules and Hounddogs).

In fact, the Texans were so willing to become the ally of the post-war US government, that the Union later donated several older Boeing Screaming Eagles to them as well.

A year or two later, most of the Texan Screaming Eagles received the following new paint job. Some of the white-blue ones retained their original camo and remained in their role as trainers of future jet fighter pilots.

Something from the Turtledove Wikia...

A more creative interpretation of how the Mule (Asskicker) dive bomber of Featherston's CSA looks like. I prefer it to the "exactly like the Nazi Stuka" theory. Within the artwork's fiction, the Mule's official name is "Beech and Dixon “Mule” A83 Model 3".

More similar artworks can be seen here. I'm surprised they didn't visualize the Hound Dog as a Spitfire or Airacobra look-alike, as most other TL 191 artworks do.
