So is that supposed to be a 720 derivative using 8 JT3C/Ds? Because that's awesome.
~snip~

707/E-3 AWACS they look at using B-52-8 JT3C/Ds engines for a bit. got as far as a few pic and a small scale mode. i wish some one would do kit of this one.

Found this by accident on the Wings Pallette website. So, not mine.

Slovak Kamov Ka-50 Black Shark.

Now, the million dollar question is: Why the hell would we need anything as advanced as this ?!!! Major overkill, IMHO. :D It's like giving stealth bombers to Paraguay. :D I'll settle for a souped-up Sokol with rocket pods and MGs any day, thankyouverymuch...

And here's something related. Another piece of tech from an ATL where Gerry Anderson opted for a career in aerospace engineering rather than film-making. This is the Anderson AAF-104 "Angel Falcon", a 3rd generation light jet fighter, conceived by Anderson in Canada after he left Britain, disillusioned by the whole Sandys cancellation affair of his ambitious airborne aircraft carrier. The Angel Falcon has proven a surprising success in many export markets around the world. Pictured below is an AF of the Czech Air Force (in service since 1994, the Czech AFs are to be retired in 2020).

By far the biggest success of the AAF-104 was when it became the official light jet fighter of the USAF, replacing the venerable F-5 Tiger as a training platform. Mexico, Botswana, Kenya, Honduras and many other former F-5 users got into the act as well.

Shocked by the US and French acquirement of the AAF-104 and finally realizing that they had severely underestimated Anderson's visionary designs, the RAF eventually bought a few Angel Falcons as fighter pilot exercise trainers.

Heh. Like the Gerry Anderson ones. Oddly enough, I use a diecast model Angel Interceptor to un-gum my electric razor...
