Congratulations on your country's victory.

In other news, we still need a 40th country. At this point I'll ask anyone participating in the game to PM friends and people they think might be interested to get the 40th team. Of course, if you do not already have a second team, you are welcome to make one.

It's good. You just need to designate the positions of the players. Three must be goalkeepers.

AHFA World Cup Preview: East African Federation

How they got there:
Qualification started early for the East Africans, since they had to play a second round qualifier. They beat Ethiopia 5-3 over two legs and advanced to the third and final qualifying round which saw them in a group featuring Khemia, Zambia and the U.R of Congo. Despite this trough draw, the Mighty Beisa finished second level on points with favorites Khemia. As best second placed team they were given a shot at reaching their first world cup ever trough an intercontinental play-off round. California, would be their final opponent on their way to the World Cup. Las Estrellas Rojas, had disappointed during their qualifying campaign, infamously losing 2-5 to New England, in San Francisco. The first leg in Dar es Salaam was a tense affair with the match more resembling a Rugby game. East Africa finished the match with 10 men, but still managed to hold California to a tie. Everything would depend on the return leg in San Francisco. The Californians opened the score early, and pushed for a second. but the East African defense held fast. In the second half the momentum tipped in favour of the Mighty Beisa and they came close to the coveted equalizer. It looked like they would miss out on an other world cup yet again but then, in the 85th minute Victor Wanyama headed home a Berahino cross. Putting them level, and most importantly qualifying them on away goals.

Formation:
We have them down as a 4-5-1, with Samatta as the lone striker. While this is a more defensive option, it does leave room for the midfielders to head forward and cause some danger in the final third. While they often use this formation, they can also switch to a 4-3-3.

One to watch:
While names like Wanyama and Berahino stand out to those who follow the English top flight, the nation’s new up and coming star is named Mbwana Samatta. After impressing with Belgian outfit KRC Genk, and experience in the Champions League under his belt. He made the move to Aston Villa in January. He opened his scoring account on his league debut, which Villa lost 2-1, The Mighty Beisa will surely look to their sturdy striker for goals.

Our Prediction:
While most of the squad plays in Europe, only a handful of players have experience in the top leagues. The team acts as a cohesive unit and has enough fighting spirit to make it difficult for their opponents, but despite this we can’t see the Mighty Beisa advance through the group stages.

This is good, though you should divide the players by position.

===SPECIAL NEWS REPORT===
His Majesty Maximilian II speaking: "It is with great honor that I announce that our great nation has been selected to host the AHFA 2020 World Cup. For the first time, this multinational athletic competition shall cross the seas and be held in the fair lands of the New World. Let this be a celebration of peace and harmony between the countries of this Earth, and may this nation of ours demonstrate to the world our unfailing hospitality, generosity, and above all, our commitment to the construction of a brighter tomorrow."

Following a round of voting, which was held on 11 April, the Mexican Empire was selected to host the AHFA 2020 World Cup. With this special conferment, Mexico bypasses all contests of qualification and immediately joins the other great nations of the sport in the pursuit of the ultimate prize: the glory of victory. In this particular installment of the quadrennial football championship, high expectations surround the Mexican football team, with many analysts forecasting a historic performance from the squad. Mexico is yet to crown itself champion of the World Cup: its best performance to date was an unexpected 4th place in 1992. Fresh from a 3-0 win over the Confederate States, hopes for victory were dashed after losing 4-2 to Belgium.

However, this year promises to be rather different. For the first time, and following a historic agreement between the teams of Liga MX - Mexico's premier football league - the Empire will now field a top-class "Dream Team" composed of Mexico's most promising football talent. The arrival of Miguel Herrera as coach of this new team also heightens expectations: his 21-year career in the Liga MX has seen nothing but success, and his ability to bring underdog teams into the highest echelons of athletic achievement has reaped considerable fruit. Rodrigo Pérez, President of the Imperial Council for Sports Administration, recently affirmed that the government "is sparing no expense to ensure that our team has the best chances for a groundbreaking performance." The fact that Mexico will be hosting will certainly prove beneficial, as there will be "no shortage of fans supporting our nation's players."
