The February 1945 Yalta conference determined the post-war status and division of Germany.
I’ve seen several other plans that were circling at the time for splitting Germany but none seem to be realistic. I can't imagine the allies actually going through something like the Morgenthau Plan.
So what POD at or around Yalta actually results in a different plan for the division of Germany?
Roosevelt dying early? Churchill being replaced early by Attlee?
