AHC: World War I- Stalemate in the East and West

So with a POD from 1910 (with World War I stil starting in 1914), have World War I be a stalemate in both the East and the West. France stalemates Germany in the same area as OTL, while Russia stops the Germans and Austro-Hungarians in Poland and Carpathia. The Entente try to push into Germany and Austria-Hungary proper, but still there is a stalemate. The war ends in 1918, with a status quo ante bellum (or as close as possible to that, without a Versailles-like treaty ITTL).

Bonus points if Italy is neutral and the Ottomans still declare war on the Entente.

I wonder - if you can somehow prevent the Russian chaos, maybe the Russians would have a better chance at defending in the east towards the end of the war? Anyway, I think the best shot at a status-quo-antebellum peace would be a very late end to the war, without the USA getting involved.

Your conditions are a bit too precise, but here goes...

From 1910 A-H starts modernising its army in a meaningful way eg modern artillery, more MGs and experimental with aviation. Some time before 1914 both France and A-H both adopt more competent defence orientated doctrines.

Germans offensive in the West goes OTL, but with fewer suicidal French offensives, so the French do much better over the long term.

Russian offensive against A-H goes bad (for Russia) - Serbia is then crushed - Conrad's ego goes wild - A-H looks tough, so Italy stays put. However, because A-H is not forced to collaborate with Germany, innovation compared to OTL is greatly reduced within A-H.

Since A-H appears to be self sufficient and Conrad is an even bigger ass than OTL, Germany leaves a holding force in the East as it focuses on a slightly more competent French Army in the West. The Russians are up against a far better A-H military than OTL, but with not so many Germans.

I can't see this war end in a status quo ante bellum. With Russia doing better and not collapsing this mean German defeat is guaranted.
