After the success of Disneyland in California, Walt Disney began to draw up even more ambitious plans for Disney World in Florida. Besides a new theme park that eventually took the form of OTL's Magic Kingdom, there was going to be a whole new city called EPCOT - Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. However, after Walt Disney's death in 1966, support for the original plans declined, and ultimately morphed into Disney World's second theme park instead of a city.

Some photos of these plans:

What PoDs (Besides Walt living a little longer) would be required to make Epcot closer to the original concept than OTL's theme park? Was this even possible in the first place, or something that belongs in ASB land? Moreover, assuming that it develops into a full-fledged city resembling Walt's vision, how would its success or failure influence urban planning in US cities (particularly in regards to the importance of mass transit in this alt-Disney World)?
