AHC/WI: Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, and Bill Belichick Stayed with the New York Giants?

Just as the tin says, what if these three legendary coaches, all of whom were in major positions with the Giants at one point in their career, stayed with Big Blue? How can it happen? How would this effect football?

For Lombardi and Landry to stay, Vince would have had to be patient, and wait two more years for HC Jim Lee Howell to resign (he did before the 1960 season). And, Lamar Hunt would have had to have been able to get a big enough stake in the Cardinals to move them to Dallas (that would have butterflied away the AFL and the Cowboys).

As for Belichick, GM George Young didn't like him. The front office also believed that he couldn't deal with the NY media because of his monotonic attitude.

"Vince would have had to be patient..." that's going to be hard. Lombardi already believed he was behind his peers, especially Landry in terms of "coaching age" day 1 with the Giants, plus his concern that the "vowel" at the end of his name was an issue. He's going to jump (and Green Bay is hard for him to refuse, the talent on that roster, and control like no other Head coach, except Halas...). Only way he stays pass the Green Bay opening (and remember it was Halas who recommended him) is the Giants ownership offering, in writing, the Head Coaching job after Jim Lee retires (and assures him that is soon...). And I'm not sure if that trumps Green Bay's "Young" talent.

As long he don't rename them just throw money to the bidwell.

Still before they would not be good in the Giants as their respective teams.

Make Howell retire early, them Lombardi take over, when Lombardi dies, Landry take over, after that, Landry collapse early and parcell and bellichick come, when parcell retires them bellichick take over
