Can the Japanese Empire and United States become more warm toward each other than in OTL? What if Japan stays out of Manchuria? Doubtful, but what if?
Or even better, what if Japan doesn't go into China/Indochina, and thus the U.S has no reason to launch an embargo? I'm just wondering what would history be like if Japan and the U.S were more friendly, or at least didn't hate each other.
