AHC/WI: Slavic Middle East

Random Migration Period idea I had. Don't know how far-fetched this is, but with a POD no earlier than, say, the fall of the Western Roman Empire, how possible is for Slavic peoples to largely migrate to the Middle East*, rather than Europe, and establish the primacy of their language, religion, and culture there in much the same way as the Islamic Arab conquerers did IOTL?

I imagine you'd need to have a scenario where the easternmost post-Roman barbarian kingdoms (Ostrogoths, Gepids, etc) are strengthened, thus preventing Slavic peoples from pushing too far west into Europe. Somehow this with a weakened Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire (more devastating war against the Sassanids, failure in the Gothic Wars, etc), and it seems possible that the Slavs could instead be diverted south, overrun the Byzantine Empire, and then settle in Anatolia and the Levant.

Also, what might a Slavic Middle East look like culturally? I imagine that, if they haven't already converted to Christianity at the time of the initial conquest, that the new rulers will likely accept Christianity eventually, though perhaps of a different variety (Monophysitism?). What else can we surmise with language, etc?

*For the purposes of this scenario, let's actually just restrict this to Anatolia and the Levant, though if you can also establish how Slavic peoples could conquer Egypt, the Arabian peninsula, and/or Persia as well, more power to you.

My take
The Slavic middle east would be similar to OTL Slavic Balkans. This means that slavic warbands will conquer territories and thus occupy key positions. Slavic languages could also become the lingua Franca of the middle east. Due to it's widespread use in the region and beyond by secular rulers(nobles). Over time this could lead to linguistic slavification. The emerging middle east will then be a new culture that is a mixture of Slavic and pre Slavic conquest cultures.
