Apparently, during the lest years of his life, Nelson Rockefeller attempted to set up an alternative to the World Bank with the Saudi Arabian government, which as called the Saudi Arabian-American Corporation, or SARABAM Corp. Ultimately, the project fell through, from what I can tell, due to a mixture of disinterest by the Saudis and Rockefeller's death.
What could have happened to make this project at least partly successful, and what would its impact have been on global political economy and global governance?
