AHC/WI: Russia sells Alaska to Great Britain

Guys

What if the Russians don't sell to the US for some reason. Then, presuming no major butterflies possibly when the British and Russians become allied the Russians decide to unload it. Britain would be the obvious buyer then or possibly even more likely Canada.

The difference in the US might be some permutation of the civil war, say its a bit longer or more bitter, that means the US is less interested in Alaska. Or very rocky relations with the UK which means the US don't think Alaska is worthwhile as Britain can seize it.

Alternatively how Russia either have better relations with Britain in the 60's for some reason or so desperate for cash that they will sell to Britain when America decides not to.
