AHC/WI: Rus and Iran or China in a single state after Mongol conquest

Your goal is to change partition of the Mongol Empire in a way that Rus and either Persia or China end up in a single state.

What would such a division entail? What could be some interesting effects of increased cultural exchange between Rus and Persia/China?

Mongols already controlled parts of the Silk Route through Central Asia.
The real challenge is uniting all those lands under one Kahan and stay one kingdom under that Kahan's sons.
