AHC/WI: Ottomans more explicitly Roman?

In OTL, the Ottomans adopted some Roman concepts onto themselves; the Sultan was entitled Caser, for instance, and it controlled the territory of the old ERE. The House of Osman even married into the last ruling house of the Byzantines. But would it be possible for the Ottomans to be even more explicitly Roman in there identity?

Adopting Greek as the language of the empire would probably be a big step, generally grekifying the regime would probably end up with a very Byzantine like state evolving.

You could also have Greek take the role that Persian did OTL; Persian provided ~90% of the words in Ottoman Turkish, and Persian was the prestige language. If you could get Greek to become the primary influence on Ottoman Turkish as opposed to Persian, you could have a more Roman state without requiring a complete language shift.

Sounds entirely reasonable.
